Hi andy, quick question. Out of all the Portable Dac/amp dongles you've tested. Which 3 would you put at the top when only talking about soundstage width & imaging. (I understand the Headphones/Iems matter more overall to it but I'm just curious on the dongle side).
It is more than 3, many of them especially from the dual CS43131 side offer wide open sound, the most prominent being iBasso DC04Pro. Then there's also L&P W4 and Cayin RU7, we also have this THX Onyx and xDuoo Link2 BAL. So does Moondrop DAWN Pro, just to name a few. Dongle tech has evolved so much over the years

@@MollysLips243 I don't have them but I want to buy them. I'm just waiting for more reviews. There is a review on headfi forum for them if you are interested. It says there that the isolation is average but the good part is that it won't cause pressure in your ears. Anyways for me the price and fit is a big concern. The weight of them is 7g each shell if you like to know that :)
hi andy, regarding my previous question. Lets say we were to pick one between the L&P W4 and Cayin RU7, which would it be regarding soundstage and imaging? haha I'm torn on buying one of those two. I mainly care for soundstage as I know both have good sound, albeit one is analog sounding and the other hi-fi ish.
If I am in your position, I go for Cayin RU7. Both very closely matched but I just subjectively feel RU7 is closer to my own personal preferences, and since you asked for my recommendations, I recommend what I like personally. Again, just remember this is highly subjective and let me remind you, we are comparing between two of the very best, so the differences are determined largely by preferences

What I can share now is that FA19 is superior in every way to Mega 5 EST. However the appeal of Mega 5 EST is the timbre which is really pleasing

Both are High Res, as a longtime Etymotic user, no hesitation for me to recommend ER2XR over iE300

Is it good at gaming and surround sounds? Can I determine if the sound is from the right, left, top or bottom ? And Is there a delay in the sound?
And Is the price difference worth it between it and the Tanchjim One because I am in Egypt and $14 is not a small amount in Egypt 😅 ?
And Is there a better one in its price category based on the uses I mentioned ?
