Not sure if anyone has ever felt an audio orgasm, but wow. I purchased an old set of Bose TriPort Headphones on Amazon, popped in my Moody Blues (Other Side of Life Cassette) and jacked into my FIIO CP13. OMFG. I never experienced such an amazing distribution of sound from my all-time favorite band on a cassette player. This wouldn’t have been possible without the FIIO and Bose headset. Strike me for whatever you want, but even my high-end phones don’t produce this amazing sound. To much base, etc. … Sometimes old school is still the best.

I grew up during the 90s and kept all of my cassettes. I order a blue CP 13 off of Amazon. I lot should be arriving this Friday. I’m so excited. I never really stopped listening to cassettes. I don’t think your crazy. I was born in ‘81, and it really makes me proud to see the younger generation getting into cassettes and analog audio. I enjoy digital also, but my ears get fatigued faster while listening to digital than analog.

I still have my cassette collection. I used to buy originally mastered cassettes from HMV on BASF tapes. They were expensive so it was one cassette a month purchase in the 90s. Tempted by this Fiio cassette player.

I have 3 Sony cassette Walkmans from 90s that don't work, and an array of over 100 plus cassettes from 90s and early 2000s. This bring in lot of nostalgia and emotions in me when there were no mp3, ipod or mobile devices and we swear by the portability of a Sony Walkman, even saving on battery by rewinding/forwarding the tape manually using a pen/pencil. I would try getting my walkmans. repaired from Gaffar market Delhi, and if they don't work then surely will buy this. Thank you Headphone Zone for pimping old school listening habits. PS - I didn't let my mum throw away my cassette collection or walkman ;-)

There's a magical quality to analog sources that digital cannot match.
That's why Vinyl ( we used to call them 45 singles, EP's, LP's) has a very good following in the audiophile community, even in the age of Tidal etc.
What Raghav emphasises - physical form, switching sides, the case, the inlay cards, the nostalgia factor are peripheral features.
Analog sound has a fullness, a "rightness" that digital cannot match.

It's just emotional connect with old cassettes that will motivate a person to go for this portable device. Moreover a person can flaunt it, using an old type of device in public.

I still own two tape devices. A Sony walkman and a Philips compact player both in working condition. But to be honest those are just show pieces now.

It seems that FiiO is the new Sony, judging by this product and the amazing M17 digital audio player I bought the other day.

Hey HZ I bought 7hz zero not to long ago but unfortunately lost them. I want to have an overall good experience with Games and a lot of rock and punjabi music. Any recommendations under 5k. But I need a dac for that too cuz my vivo phone is a bit laid back in comparison to other devices with good in built dac. Please help if you can. And Also wanted to ask if we can have emi on the whole cart or seperate products

As sound is very subjective, it's not necessary what we like is something you will also prefer. Having said that, in case you prefer a V shaped sound signature you should check out the KZ ZEX as it is a favourite of the Audiophile community and is like a party in your head.
