Re: fences What do people do with dogs that tend to roam? My beagle would take off following her nose and get lost.

Install a fence. As more people from "away" have been moving to the island, the idea of having a fence has become more accepted. Personally, I always put up a fence as soon as I move into a house. I've have had three beagles; two were adopted from AVC (Reese and Howie), and my current one, Odie, is 15. I adopted him from an elderly lady who went blind. He’s a great dog, and I’d hate to see him wander off, especially since, as we both know, they tend to follow their nose.
