An interesting episode. Though fictional it illustrates what can happen to an individual in a country with : No Constitution, No Bill of Rights, No Freedom of Information Act and no Proportional Representation.
What nonsense. In which country do you think habeas corpus was originally established as a human right? And we do not need a written constitution - we have common law and statutory freedoms developed over a history of a thousand years or more, not just a couple of centuries (I am supposing that you are American). Don't imagine that you know everything that goes on behind the closed doors of your government departments, especially during war time..
@@catgladwell5684 I am not an American I am British and have had enough experience of our rotten political system to know that we need all of the rights etc that I outlined in my original remarks. I have also spent a number of years outside the UK looking back in whilst working for a major international organisation and doing so has given me the opportunity to take an objective look at the UK political/Legal system.
It might have been fictional, but the attention to detail and search for facts in this series has been exemplary. It was, in fact, exactly like this in UK during the war, which is why it's like it and worse now. Why else could they have Julian Assange locked up without charge let alone conviction, and tortured, and the Skripals just disappeared.
The man Sam Stewart is talking to at the end, that is Roger Allam. He wasn't a regular, but he patently WAS one of the actors that appeared in the series...
'I'm going to have a word with him', one of my favourite bits from a great series.
I love this episode a lot - Foyle goes straight into Terminator Mode when Sam says she got pinched
Oh! I have come across smug bastards like this in WA Police Force. Excellent series.
facts are real enough sidford street school etc
The way special branch is questioning Andrew Foyle reminds me of the British police today - everything out of proportion and fantasy accusations.

Roger Allam is not one of the actors in 'Foyle's War': Michael Kitchen plays Christoper Foyle

Good to see Douglas get some mileage out of his Air England uniform. Too bad he's a total creep at the end.
like fred thursdays evil twin
