Given Lasha's skillset, anyone care to weigh in on his ability to do some strongman lifts? I get that the technique is very different, but i think with a little practice he'd crush the axle and log press.

What makes Lasha such a good lifter is his impeccable form. Even on world record lifts he doesn't stray from the path, and you watch them and think they look easy. Compare him to Manfred Nerlinger from Germany back around 30 years ago. His form left a lot to be desired, but he made up for that with his incredible strength. If he'd been able to acquire better technique, he'd still be the talk of the town today and maybe even still hold a couple of records.

In order to train himself hard enough to make the required gains, his thumbs would be hanging by a thread because of constantly having to use the hook grip. Straps are a training aid to save his hands from injuries. Stay silent, Silent Type, when the conversation turns to subjects you don't know nothin' about!
