I never even knew Hirohito lived long enough to see the 1970's let alone came on an official visit to Disneyland! LOL was this the trip that really inspired anime to start taking off in Japan?! Now anime dominates the animation industry and has overtaken the likes of Disney!
Anime was a thing prior to the war.
As a matter of fact, it was Osamu Tezuka who started creating various works influenced by Disney, not the Emperor, which led to the expansion of Japanese animation culture. And the power of the Emperor is not as high as you think. Especially after the war.
Osamu Tezuka's work "Astro Boy" was the first ever weekly animation to be aired in 1963, the famous animation "Space Battleship Yamato" was aired in 1974, one year before the Emperor visited Disneyland, and "Mobile Suit Gundam" was aired in 1979.
He died in 1989. He was the ceremonial leader of one of the main Axis powers in WW2 and then one of the US’s main allies for almost the entirety of the Cold War, which is wild to think about
By the time Emperor Showa died, Nirvana already had two albums out.
Hirohito is so cute! AYAYA
This guy committed so many fucking war crimes He was the reason Pearl Harbor happened

That's Hideki Tojo. At that point Japan's Emperor's are pretty much figureheads just like the Shogun-Emperor relationship. Learn history doofus.
@@dieselpatchesisthebiggay1253 Hirohito didn’t order pear harbor that was Yamamoto but still he did do the Nanking massacres so your partly right about the war crimes.
@@antitiktokunion3894 he was evil he legit sent his army to die by. Having kamikaze pilots crash into ships
@@dieselpatchesisthebiggay1253 I know he was evil I’m not trying to defend the guy but I’m just saying he didn’t do Peale harbor he did the other stuff.
