I agree, I don't know why it is so important to some people that we all think and feel the same. If no one is injured or killed then it shouldn't be a big deal. I work with people who are racists but as long as they don't cause me harm then I continue to go to work. What Rosanne said was not threatening to anyone so it shouldn't have mattered to anyone, in my opinion.

Her show got cancelled and created a whole disappointment for others that was depending on the show. Things got turned around and the show was coming back. However, the cast did not want to work with Roseanne if it was, so they killed her off and changed the name to Connor's. The thing is a lot of these ppl seem to forget that Roseanne helped them be discovered and well known. After the show, a lot of them did not have the same success they did with the show. This is a wasted opportunity . instead of burning down the stage ABC could have used the show to bring light to racism. The writers of the show could have written into the show a black family and had everyone commenting about a tweet a celebrity tweeted. The writers could have shown the viewers the pain the tweet caused the black family and how Rosanna's family on the show interacts with the family effected by the tweet. The arc of the story could be 5 to 6 shows. But noooooooooo the only thing to do is fire everyone!

An employer should never be allowed to fire someone for expressing their opinion no matter how sick they might think it is and as long as the person working for them isn't harassing customers or driving business away from them they shouldn't be able to do a damn thing about it. We have established as a society that one is entitled to their own opinion not being allowed to express that opinion without fear of prejudice or reprimand in the workforce is utterly unacceptable imo. Everyone knew who Roseanne was, this tweet should have been no surprise. Did she make a mistake? She sure did!!! And she took it down and apologized for it. Her show got cancelled and created a whole disappointment for others that was depending on the show. Things got turned around and the show was coming back. However, the cast did not want to work with Roseanne if it was, so they killed her off and changed the name to Connor's. The thing is a lot of these ppl seem to forget that Roseanne helped them be discovered and well known. After the show, a lot of them did not have the same success they did with the show. Let's be real, if some of them (not all) were not on the Roseanne show, no one would know who they were or are. Honestly, they should have forgiven her because as humans we do make mistakes and sometimes huge mistakes. They made sure that she would never, ever come back by making her overdose and die. Nice job there, by making things end bittersweet.
