Last year, i considered the C2 the best value tv, because there was almost no difference in picture quality with the G2. This year, the story seems to be different with the intro of MLA. I'm in the market for a 65" OLED and i prefer the LG's ones for the OS. If there's a 300€ gap between the C3 and the G3 during black friday, do you think the G3 is worth the extra(considering the included 5 years warranty for the G3)?
Great review 👍 went through alot of reviews for a new TV and the C3 edged it for me. So off i trotted to Currys to see a C3 in action and was impressed stumped up the cash and they threw in an xbox series X for an extra £50 ! Job done 👍

Which is why I'm getting the g3 upgrading from a c8 with 16000 hrs on it, gaming, and NO burn in. I think qdled needs another year to fully bake. Pun intended.
Rtings data on burn in for the S95C looks very good so far. Better than any LG OLED. However, I think there are lots of other reasons why some people would prefer the LG C3 over the S90C. SDR brightness being the big one. Better processing be the other.

I have a question about "brightness" and what reviewers mean by it. I don't intend on having the tv in direct light and the room will nearly always be dimly lit. Does that make "brightness" potential somewhat irrelevant? Or does "brightness" mean something more important than just how much it'll light up a room?

on best buy right now, the c3's price at 55" and 65" is the same as the s90c and the x93l (although that one doesn't have a 55"). Based on the reviews I have seen, the s90c is better than the c3 in every way except for dolby vision support. The x93l is maybe also better although it's mini-led as opposed to oled, so there are tradeoffs.
If you really pay attention to the S90C specs, it’s actually a fair bit dimmer than the C3 in SDR content, and it’s more prone to dimming the image. If you’re watching a lot of HDR movies/shows the S90C might be a bit better, but if you’re watching a lot of SDR and sports I would be confident most people would prefer the C3.

Ok so my comment is based on an individual circumstance and though it’s possible for everyone to achieve it, it’s not commonly known about I believe. To start .. the title is an interesting choice because when talking about VALUE surely there must be a figure involved whatever it might be and I assume in this instance it’s based on the price reduction throughout the yr by a percentage value . There is on the face of it nothing wrong with this parameter but what if one of the other three televisions mentioned in this vid where discounted further by an extra 15% would they suddenly become the best value TV ? Post a comment for the answer on how to get that extra 15% discount once a yr ?
A couple days ago, the LG C3 77 inch was $1999 on an Amazon flash sale, which is 57% of its original launch price in the U.S. I got it from Best Buy, which offers a price match to sellers like Amazon, and for that price, the C3 77 inch is an insane bargain. I agree with this reviewer's claim, and it's a very important claim to bear in mind when you're thinking about how to spend your money: Unless you have a ton of cash to burn, it's just not worth it to pay an extra $1000+ for the G3. It's not like you'd be settling for the C3 in comparison because, unless you have the C3 and the G3 sitting right next to each other, the difference in picture quality is not noticeable or significant. Also bear in mind that Samsung, due to a kind of weird corporate arrogance that is difficult to explain, does not support the highest Dolby A/V formats or any DTS formats, whereas LG supports everything. Keep your eyes open for sudden price drops on the C3 in the upcoming weeks and, if you prefer to pick it up locally in a store, take advantage of Best Buy's price match guarantee. The C3 is an incredible TV in terms of performance and value. You'd have to pay a lot of money for very minimal performance gains from a different, "better" TV.
I'm concerned about the longevity of OLED. I've seen discussion threads about patches of dead pixels appearing after a few years along the screen edges, a kind of screen rot. I've also heard that OLED is more sensitive to environmental factors than regular panels. I live in Houston and in the summer the house sometimes gets up to 90 degrees inside with high humidity because the air conditioning can't keep up. It's important to consider those factors in addition to the image quality.
You should be more concerned with improving your AC rather than getting a new TV. I’ve had two LG OLEDs in my home in Dallas, one for about two years, with zero issues. I have 4 family members each with their own homes near Houston and none has home A/C issues like that.

And not g2? Best value for money? If available at the same price or if only $400 more expensive, it would not be a better choice? What do you think?

Bought one today on Amazon for 2100.
@@waltdude That's a great deal. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
@@EleaticStranger today its selling for 1750.00.

Does the C3 still dim when using game optimizer?
Just ordered the 55. Any recommendations for a tv cabinet/stand
Very rare now on the newer panels, all screens have issues lcds have them aswel
Great summary.
Exactly my thoughts
👍
What would you say about the A80L? In your opinion is it comparable to the C3?
Same question is mine because other reviews from Brain and Fomo suggested Sony A80L is better than LG C3 because of XR and sound quality but he didn't mention in comparison of Sony A80L ? and The price are same now for LG c3 and Sony A80L so why I would go with C3 instead A80L not convinced withe review until reply Thanks
Do you think the C4 will go on sale and be the best value to buy in 2025?
Well the only real advantage with the G3 S95C there brighter
Had a Sony lcd tv for 13 years and going to treat myself with the Black Friday nov offers, was so close to buying the C3 but started reading about burn in issues with OLED tvs and it’s put me off. Am I worrying over nothing? Got me looking at the X95L instead recently as a alternative.
I’ve had OLED for years with no issues
@@allthingstechdoes it really depend on what u watch,or is it nothing to worry about?
@@danebates9977 I play games with static screens, watch news channels with fixed bars and sports with logos etc and never had the slightest sign on any brand in the last few years. If you left a fixed image on 24/7 then you may get some, in reality, no one does that.
@@allthingstech ok,thank u for your advice!
I don't know if it'll last 13 years, but my dad falls asleep in front of his almost every night. He's had his CX for almost 4 years and has no issues with burn in. It's not like plasma tvs were where they used to burn in after leaving a logo on the screen for a few hours.
Hey I just started checking out your vids and like them, but will hold up on subscribing until I start seeing some response to questions folks have. Peace.
what are your picture settings for ea fc 24, my image keeps changing, my field is dark green and then after a goal the light suddenly turns green. I have tried everything. but the problem keeps coming back.😢
What about screen burn in on LG?
Best value is s90c or s92c qd oleds
Does anyone know why most of the ps5 settings are greyed out on this tv? I can’t change a lot of them.
Is the improvement in upscaling really big compared to LG C2?
It’s definitely better, but only noticeable if you’re a scrutinizing viewer.
I just bought this today , for 1500$ at Walmart , I did a load of research before buying my only worry is the brightness dim on game mode ? I currently have a qled q60 Samsung so it should overall blow my tv away , but how bad is the dimmer? Is it a worry? I plan on playing a lot of sports
Well surely you can see for yourself, jeez!
