Let me ask you a question. If we could bore a Tunnel through the EARTH, and you fell through that tunnel, what would be your motion? :D th-cam.com/video/GMgFkqzpRWQ/w-d-xo.html
Provided you are a superhuman who can survive absurd pressure, heat, toxicity, 1) With air - You shoot towards the center reaching terminal velocity around 200kmh-1, take weeks to reach center. The center of earth is super dense air but shoot past it. reach a certain distance only to get slowed due to air and gravity now opposite. Do this few times past the core and eventually stop at he core 2) considering no air...-Reach the center in under a hour or few (no more pesky friction). Shoot past the center, get slowed down by gravity gradually (and because no friction) and come out at the other side in 0 velocity...
And not only tunnel through diameter of earth if u dig any tunnel through any random chord of earth then still the particle after entering it will perform SHM
If tunnel exist then the motion oscillatory motion due to potential but at centre we gain K.E so will go next side & again towards to centre in that ideal tunnel with no friction
The best thorough explanation I have ever seen for the topic. I am sure, as time passed by, this video will have million of views. Very well done; the presenter has the quality of an excellent educator. Thank you for making this video. I am going to share it with my students.
Thank you so so so so so so much brother. I honestly can't believe I'm watching this for free, I should be paying for this lol. We need more channels like yours and people like you, genuinely from the bottom of my heart thanks
Wonderful . Been following your lectures on particle physics. Really helped me in BSc. Can you please describe about your teaching setup. Might be helpful to a lot of tuitors.
29:43 sir have you taken out x from derivative and how are you doing this multiplying single derivative and making it a single double derivative i can not understand it
i m in 11th rn prep. for jee came here cause my teacher told me to learn the damped ocillation result now i have done diff equations and intern learnt differentiation to get the concept clearly and ig i'll be doing bsc now thanku
Sir damped oscillator has smaller frequency than damped. But at the end of video where you are showing all graphs you are taking same frequency of both
is there an intuitive understanding of why the frequency is lower in scenario 2? Dissipation leads to amplitude decaying down but why not the HO coukld still have the same frequency?
Sir why did you solve the initial differential equation again in critical damping scenario? Since beta and Wo are constants why should their values matter and why can't we plug them into the initially solved equation in the critical damping scenario?
at 24:05 phase theta is not equal to zero in the underdamped solution with initial conditions x(0)>0 and v(0)=0, theta is arctg(-beta/omega1) ....also x(0) is not equal to A...calculate A and theta with these initial conditions and see for your self... you should get A=x(0)*omega0/omega1 where omega0 is undamped frequency...

still simple harmonic motion oscillating between the centre of earth as equilibrium point

people do not understand how valuable this video is I swear
I do
Why do you think you're the only one who can understand the value of this video?
Ikr
Words cant express the value of this lecture. It can boost your confidence in the very first chapter of engineering physics.
The best thorough explanation I have ever seen for the topic. I am sure, as time passed by, this video will have million of views. Very well done; the presenter has the quality of an excellent educator.

Loved every single second of this video sir, so much concepts to learn just loved this video
Thank you so so so so so so much brother. I honestly can't believe I'm watching this for free, I should be paying for this lol. We need more channels like yours and people like you, genuinely from the bottom of my heart thanks
this man genuinely smiles during the lecture..his true passion is physics only!!!!!
Sir, totally nailed it, best video i ever found on youtube on damped oscillation
@@arpitbarthwal3673 are you asking me or sir?
wow just wow. ur a really patient teacher and dont rush anything. love your teaching.
very helpful video, you should keep on making a whole playlist of oscillations and waves
Nice teaching style ❤❤❤ parallel universe 🙏🙏🙏
Radhe Radhe
Best channel ever for physics exam ke 2 hrs pehel mila 😂👍
you are fantastic you are best teacher I ever had. thank you very much and this would repeat like simple harmonic oscillation without rest
Top level explanation🙏
Sir you have explained everything very patiently and easy to understand way , you got a new student and a new subscriber
I couldn't find any good explanation.. thanks for your work
Greatecture and excellent way of explaining, writing and making us understand. Thanks a lot
Wonderful .

Might be helpful to a lot of tuitors.
What a teacher you are!!
Great Sir!! Great!! 🙏🙏
Honestly you deserve an award
i think iit student will watch your video to pass the exams
You are an absolute gem
29:43 sir have you taken out x from derivative and how are you doing this multiplying single derivative and making it a single double derivative i can not understand it
this vid needs more upvotes
What a wonderful explanation sir. Really helpful

🤚 me too.
pure quality, pefection, better teaching method than iit prof
Thank you sir for explaining so easily.
thankyou so much sir it helped me a lot
Thank you sir for uploading frequently
You earn one subscriber dear professor ❤
Wonderful explanation ❤
this video help me for studying physics, btw i am a physics student and right now i need a lot of videos with good concepts
It is very helpful video. I understood every concept of this topic.
Best explain i ever seeeeeennnn❤❤
The way he is explaining is excellent 👌 ❤
Sir, the classes are very good.
Very very helpful sir. Khub bhalo hoyeche

Wonderful lecture . Enjoyed it a lot❤
Thanks alot🙏
@For the Love of Physics - Sir, Could you please make a detailed video on Eddy current testing and its Applications
Sir start a series of lectures.
Excellent explaination!
Best lecture
lecture itna achha hai ki man karta hai roz comment kru
can someone please explain how he got the general solution at 9:31? meaning why is it added together?
The best teacher, thank you
you just saved me broh...thanks a lot
Thank you very much sir 😊
Understood each words u said thank u sir
Very nicely explained.
Masterpiece!
It was very useful ❤❤❤❤
But i didnt understand critical damping case , the steps of getting the solution
Very good lecture Sir 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Very interesting class😊
Thank you so much sir 💕💕💕
Preparing for my MID YEAR JUNE EXAM, 2nd year in COLLEGE PHYSICS
Best Video ever
Can you please tell me the name of the simulation app you are using. I need it for my Math Exploration
Hindi medium potential students really need this video learning ….try to start Hindi version too
Outstanding 😍
Really great teacher 😃😃🥰
Very good. My only complaint is how your mouth seems far from the microphone, so when the video ends and the ad plays, the ad is so loud.
I will try to rectify that in future videos by normalising the volume to appropriate levels
@@FortheLoveofPhysics Thank you!

Sir can you please make another video on average power supplied to a forced oscillator by an external driving force
Thank you so much sirrrr!!!
sir thanks for this video but i am unable to understand the derivation in critical damping condition so can you please make me understand
Watching this for the love of physics
Thank you so much
Sir plz tell me about particular solution
superb sir
Sir is it your hand writing or some font of this writing pad ?
you saved my day
best explanation ❤❤
Thank you
Outstanding sir
for critical damping why D.E. is considered, but not the solution. Is there any specific reason
Wonderful✨😍
Respected Sir, may I know which device you are using for online teaching. Please mention, i would be grateful.
Yes sir 😌😌😌
Always best.. 🙏✨
Love it sir
best of the best keep it on
