The fact that it takes 150 AV to get to the first cycle instead of 100 AV had slipped me in the past and caused me to bash my head into my desk when I tried my hand at speed tuning yukong. The video was very clear and informative while being concise! Love it!

I think it's also useful to note that Whenever you Advance Forward a cookie, you also advance forward every other cookie that character would pick up along the way as well. And I think Advance Forward effects hold more value compared to SPD buffs since advance forward pushes the cookie forward while SPD pushes the Character forward however it depends on how close they are to the cookie.
True. This is probably not as straight forward for others. I also forgot to mention that slow characters advances more than fast characters when receiving advance forward. I remember having some weird speed tuning taking this into account where X character is supposed to move after Y but after getting advanced by Dance3x, X suddenly took over Y.

Since the more I see the firefly clip of her Advance not making her act instantly. I'm starting to think that Bronya's skill is considered as a "Guaranteed" Advance forward. Meaning she brings the cookie to you instantly no matter how far that cookie has been pushed away from the character.. Is that considered true? (I know I can just test this myself but I'm in the middle of doing uni work rn)

Fun fact if you get slowed (not delayed) and you 100%advance you should still get to 0 AV. Idk if is true but from what i tried in sparkle trial your adv/delay change with your curent speed.
I use minimum effort for 5 cycle clears in order to keep a finger on the game difficulty's pulse and make use of more characters, so this stuff doesn't apply to me personally. Still great to have a video highlightning a portion of the moving parts in a strategy when the community has no idea where the damage is coming from (always blaming certain supports, or nonexistent powercreep, or relic rng). The BGM choices also never hurt
If both your team is doing 5 cycle clears it literally means your teams are on the weaker side and that it does need more investment if you wanna continue doing 3 star clears in the future when the content will get harder and more annoying.
@@dante19890 this is why I said minimum effort, none of them have maxed traces except my acheron (minus her basic attacks), some supports don't have maxed relics, some units don't have maxed or 5 star lightcones, no build has perfect stats, and I still never had to upgrade anyone. This is how I know exactly how much effort the devs put in balancing since 1.0. When the buff rotation is good they clear anywhere from 3 to 5 cycles, usually 4 or 5, which also lets the other side get wonky. I cleared this past rotation with a quantum Luka, Hanya and Argenti for example, because I just wanted to use a Luka I put old abandoned pieces for the first time and a Hanya I never get the chance, and because the first side beat it in 4 they got to be played and clear in 6 despite the poor synergy. The only time there was a significant increase was when adding moc 11 and 12, which was on purpose (basically they moved the goal post for minimum investment), after you get 3 stars there you also keep getting it with the same builds and proper strategy. The game only gets harder based on how much the supports can increase damage for the most part, because dps multipliers are standardized.
@@ch1dd but what would be the purpose of getting into a position of barely getting 3 stars ? It would be much better to make your account as strong as you can make it and be ahead of the games difficulty cuz it's gonna go up regardless with time.
@@dante19890 As a player it's efficient to start working on different characters sooner which gives me more flexibility and more mechanics I can explore, while also leaving room for more relic upgrades which can be shared between characters and matter more since it's a numbers game until you hit a good piece. I usually don't swap gear around, but it's still an efficient option. For my own self-imposed "assignment", this is the best way to observe the difficulty curve and evaluate the game balance. Playing since 1.0 I know just how incredibly competent the balance team has been, always making sure the players can keep up if they use a strategy that shows game knowledge and good account management. Even with the difficulty increase my dps never needed to be further upgraded, which shows how precise their control is and their understanding of the supports being the determining factor for difficulty balance.
@@ch1dd there is gonna be a big difficulty spike next patch. It's just way more efficient to keep track of the difficulty by looking at the stats of the enemies for each MoC You don't need to make your account more scuffed to do that.

It is still a bit difficult to understand, thanks to the nature of the topic, but I feel like I did gain some helpful insights on SPD and AV So like if you use 50% advance forward right after a DPS character's turn, that is still the same amount of advance forwarded AV as if you did did the advance forward at 50% distance from the cookie, right? So advance forward is based on the original AV distance from acting and not the *current* AV
I have 2 questions 1. Does AF basically just pseudo SPD or is it just a leap to a current AV 2. Are you gonna do similliar guide on DMG multiplier or any other Mechanic that people often confused?
The best QoL hsr can give is to allow us to set our speed manually up to whatever max our relics provide It just moves the relic grind from fkn impossible to just painful
That's what people think about Sparkle, she is not bronya and keep spamming skill with her and not making their Dps go up, I'm keep telling my friend that sparkle could work better if you have enough speed to push someone up, not just build high crit dmg, that's why bronya and sparkle is little bit harder to build than any other harmony character

I probably won't be able to get 0 cycle clear ever because I rarely pull meta characters, just the ones that I actually like. But I'm going to try to clear in less than 5 cycles on this MoC 🎉
Don't call yourself like that, sometimes, it just depends on the teacher and their way of teaching. For some reason, some guide makers make understanding their guide so difficult.
Great explanation and choice of example/showcase where it's not just about making FF fast enough, but making sure she's not too fast and everyone else acts enough and in proper order. The only part I don't fully understand is the Wave 1 manipulation. I understand the core concept (intentionally waste some Advance on FF to let the slower team members act again before she finishes the enemies), just not how you arrived at that exact action sequence. Does it have to be done that particular way because any earlier wouldn't advance Gallagher enough and any later would lose 18 AV to the enemy's action and push everyone to the cycle? (And then the 141 is just the incidental AV that calc'd out after the plan was in place?)
I didn't want to let the violinist to make one of the teammates sleep so I just went for after Gallagher's turn. It is definitely possible to delay FF's action further but I don't think it was necessary. The 141 AV was calculated based on Gallagher's action where HTB and FF's ULT happened afterwards.
I've been running Jingliu with 0 spd and a 160+ spd bronya. So is it better to speed tune them both to 134 and 135 or can I just leave bronya like she is atm and drop some spd boots on jingliu?. What are the drawbacks? I thought hyperspeed bronya and 0 spd carry was good
134/135 speed setup would be better. You don't lose a lot of damage too because Jingliu has free 200% ATK, not having an ATK% boots barely matters for her.

That's what people think about Sparkle, she is not bronya and keep spamming skill with her and not making their Dps go up, I'm keep telling my friend that sparkle could work better if you have enough speed to push someone up, not just build high crit dmg, that's why bronya and sparkle is little bit harder to build than any other harmony character

Great explanation and choice of example/showcase where it's not just about making FF fast enough, but making sure she's not too fast and everyone else acts enough and in proper order.
The only part I don't fully understand is the Wave 1 manipulation. I understand the core concept (intentionally waste some Advance on FF to let the slower team members act again before she finishes the enemies), just not how you arrived at that exact action sequence. Does it have to be done that particular way because any earlier wouldn't advance Gallagher enough and any later would lose 18 AV to the enemy's action and push everyone to the cycle? (And then the 141 is just the incidental AV that calc'd out after the plan was in place?)
I didn't want to let the violinist to make one of the teammates sleep so I just went for after Gallagher's turn. It is definitely possible to delay FF's action further but I don't think it was necessary. The 141 AV was calculated based on Gallagher's action where HTB and FF's ULT happened afterwards.

I've been running Jingliu with 0 spd and a 160+ spd bronya. So is it better to speed tune them both to 134 and 135 or can I just leave bronya like she is atm and drop some spd boots on jingliu?. What are the drawbacks? I thought hyperspeed bronya and 0 spd carry was good
134/135 speed setup would be better. You don't lose a lot of damage too because Jingliu has free 200% ATK, not having an ATK% boots barely matters for her.
