According to someone on reddit, he talked to a guy who worked at hot wheels and they brought in a new marketing team. Who somehow came to the inescapable conclusion that Acceleracers would become more popular than the Hot Wheels brand itself. So they cancelled our childhoods. Never put marketing in charge of anything besides of ads. TBH, I don't know if we would have liked the story of next movies. Transforming cars don't seem to make much sense in the world the original 4 movies have created. Why would the accelerons want transforming cars?
Worst part about the acceleracers content is knowing we will never see it again. Hot wheels is literally sitting on a goldmine and they barely realize it. If they branched out of paid DLC for HW Unleashed, I guarantee they would make good money. Imagine a reboot of the franchise with new/better animation and released on a streaming platform through a 3-4 season series.
At this point I wasn't in Kindergarten yet. Had it happened, I might have been introduced to Acceleracers earlier. Also, who knew CM5s in blue and green looked amazing.
For anyone wondering WHY there would be mechsuits, keep in mind Kadeem is still alive as RD-K1. They would have needed something to fight a cyborg like him, mechsuits are the closest thing to it.
I remember seeing the Vert Wheeler figures and a few of the other first ones at the top but DAMN THERES SO MUCH MORE THEY HAD THIS WHOLE TIME , Mannnnn I wish they released these 😭
Not only did we almost get figures.. BUT DUDE THE DRONE MARKIE ARM and KADEEM I would’ve killed for some drone action figures that’s all I ever needed, that and just the regular cars 😭😭 if they rerelease I’m buying whatever comes with everything I stg just to make up for my missed opportunities as a kid

This discovery is really amazing, all these toys look really good. However, I might be crucified for this, but I definitely don't like the direction they were going with transforming battle cars. Taking the race away for generic battles? Nah, makes me a little glad it got cancelled.
There have been plenty of Hot Wheels builds irl that aren’t official. Gotham Garage did Splittin Image and they seem to be just fine with it. I think Mattel is ok seeing fan creations like that
I don't think that I like the concept of the season 2. I'm really not a fan of all those toys just the minifigures without any tools are ok for the collection of Acceleracers season 1. The sort of "transformers" things are just wtf. Season 1 is just good and "realistic" Sci-Fi but season 2 looks like bad fantasy (BattleForce5 LoL).

My first hot wheels was a Mercedes g wagon with the bling wheels, I also had a shake and go track it had a red and blue nascar/stock car
