    All these talk of rules is good and well, the main complaint from people are not the rules. It is the CONSISTENCY in the application of the rules. Often different decisions in the same game.
    Whatever rule you make up, be consistent.

    • @lucasvanwijngaarden670
      @lucasvanwijngaarden670 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Consistency is the most important of course, but the rules need to make sense as well. I remember that nearly every handball was a penalty in UEFA competitions last year and it was ridiculous.

    • @KevinMannix-sf5zk
      @KevinMannix-sf5zk หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If they were consistent then it would be Liverpool 32 titles, Arsenal 23 , Everton 16 Man U 9
      That's not "the most competitive league in the world" marketing will ensure that the PGMOL continue to influence the outcome of the English top league

    • @Rustylad12
      @Rustylad12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well sure everyone wants consistency but you're trivializing a really hard problem like they just decided to be inconsistent. You can't suddenly make every ref consistent as it requires 1000s of humans collectively agreeing on a single interpretation of subjective rules. Human errors are and always will be a part of the game.

    • @RaymondwLin
      @RaymondwLin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Rustylad12 not trivialising, I am pointing out what I find the biggest issue is. It is call observation.

    • @nameanteater4772
      @nameanteater4772 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The referees are mostly a good amount of consistency for live play. The problem is obviously the clarity and expression of the rules causing inconsistency when using VAR

    We have had a Handball Rule every year for the last 10 years. How about doing a Review to see which method worked best and then just stick with that?

  • @k_mambo
    @k_mambo หลายเดือนก่อน +18

    Ive always said implement a full VAR system. The cameras never lie and the angles are getting better. The problem with this current system is when we have to consult refs to make a decision when you already have the angles to make the 100% decision but he makes a different one thats when it becomes controversial.

      Dafaq do you mean don't consult refs. End of the day Someone has to make decisions and cameras can't do that. Unless you mean var decides every decision which is even more stupid. Imagine waiting 2 mins for every minor foul

    Acting like the ball striking a foot and changing trajectory and hitting a hand wasn’t already a rule is interesting. When it happened to wolves last season, wolves cited that rule in their protest after the game, but it was just another apology from the pgmol

    These guys are there with their rules I remember last season so many wrong decisions went against man United something that cost us a lot of points.
    Someone brought up a suggestion which I totally agree with which says Referees should have press conferences after the match to explain to supporters reasons they took some decisions on the pitch.

    Well I think our refereeing last season at least employed a modicum of common sense compared to our European neighbours who'd show little to no leniency at all when it came to handballs.

    I think if a player is fouled after the ball “left” his foot should not be given a penalty but may be given a relevant card to the offender.

    No more penalties, or if so, make the fouled player be the one to take the kick.
    No Var.
    Let footballers actually make contact with one another
    Red card immediately for precious darlings who ‘simulate’.
    Send managers to the stand full time as per rugby.
    Red cards for hairbands, sock calf holes, socks over knees, gloves, masks…😂

    2 Suggestions -
    The 6 Second Rule for Keepers holding the Ball is now about 30 seconds and is never penalized.
    With Free Kicks near the end of the game the Referee's firstly stand around chatting, place the ball and push defenders back, pace out and mark the 10 yard wall line, chat with the people around the wall, go back and make sure everything's lined up correctly, then blow their whistle. JUST GET ON WITH IT!!!
    OK 3 Suggestions - a Water Break with all Substitutions around 65-70 mins (only 1 Sub allowed in playing time). I know this is a FIFA thing but 10 Subs coming on and off is boring boring boring. And commercially this gives Ad time too.
