Great video Luan. Look forward to your door card removal vid, the rear windows on my 156 are extremely slow so I think I'll take the door cards off and lubricate them etc. Cheers.

Yeah so a common issue is actually the rubber surrounding the windows getting dirty or having dust etc built up over time. I've sprayed silicon around the window rubber in the past to lubricate and make it go up and down easier. I would try that first before taking the door card off or anything else more drastic

Thanks Luey. A very timely vid,... I'm putting my 2-door's passenger regulator back in now after a long delay a) getting the slider from Italy b) forgetting how it all goes back together... I took the drivers-side card off for an example, then came across your vid. On mine the slider retainer strap had snapped off. Two different types were available, neither of which looked like my original and I imported the wrong one. I fixed it by forgetting about the strap and using a stainless R-clip on the old slider stud through the glass Bunnings sell packs of white plastic washers whiich shimmed out the R-clip perfectly. Disappointed to see that other parts of the slider are also likely to disintegrate. You glossed over showing withdrawal of the regulator, which requires a bit of a s***fight backwards out of the frame...perhaps you could edit in something to clarify that. And could you link to that replacement slider you used?

Yeah seems its quite hard to find the exact replacement part so I kind of had to bodge my fix for now too. Good idea cutting down another grommet to fit I think I will do the same. Getting it out of the door wasn't too hard to be honest, just a matter of sliding it around until you can fit it through the gap in the door

Nice one Luey. Failing plastic parts are starting to be a problem on 147s.

That's a little infuriating that the part you buy specifically for your car doesn't work properly, but I'm glad you got it working again.
