Jesus Christ, I'm only barely twenty minutes in, but I felt like I needed to say thank you; there is evidently something very unique ideologically/culturally about how Gamers Nexus operates, because I just cannot imagine any other "tech TH-camrs" having such strong convictions that they'd: - A. Put in the level of effort required to even just half-ass some sort of shoddy hit-piece of this magnitude, let alone the effort to ensure the reporting is as objective, fair, and reliable as these genuine industry-journalism videos have been. - B. Lose seemingly all sense of self-preservation regarding funding required to make these happen, combined with the potential for burning bridges, blowback, frivilous lawsuits, and so on. It is very refreshing to see, especially when the rest of this sphere seems to speak out only after someone else has been brave enough to take all of the major risks, and even then, only after carefully calculating whether it is advantageous for them to do so.
Thanks for that. You are absolutely right on point B. There is a chance for calculating behind the scenes by powerful people, but I think we are well equipped now to deal with any such problems.

Thanks for your continued efforts to expose shady businesses, and help protect customers and employees alike - we're really lucky to have you and your team, Steve!
Fun fact, the reason why businesses register themselves in Delaware (29:54) is due to how the state has the cheapest business registration and operation fees. They allow any company to register there, even if their main HQ is in California.
Really appreciating the level of dedication - and resources - required for such a comprehensive report, and how you always remember to highlight the implications for the people who fall directly victim to those situations
Thanks for all you do Steve and everyone at GN and even those who came forward from EK. We need to expose this disgusting behaviour in companies. Been a long time fan and now I’m more than happy to help contribute.

I just left a company who did nearly the exact same thing... Tax fraud, wage theft, late on making payments to property, OSHA violations out the rear and changing the LLC to wipe the company of liability. So many smaller companies are guilty of this and so many more people outside of huge corporations are getting screwed due to them being able to continuously get away with doing business like this.
These loopholes need to be closed, and the people making the call need to be held personally responsible. Not allowing a business to take the blame so it can be foisted off at the stoke of a pen.
Wow!!!! Thanks a lot Steve and team for bringing light to such heinous acts. I hope the affected people get their justice soon. Thanks again for your passion and commitment towards such great journalism!!!
I love how companies forget that a NDA does not apply to criminal activities in the USA: A NDA cannot be used to hide, prevent testification, or hinder investigation of a crime in the USA. Nor, for that matter, does a NDA prevent a person from bringing allegations against any employee or employer. Essentially, if it's against the law, the NDA is cast aside. This holds true in a number of other countries, as well. I don't know if it does in Slovenia, however. 10:40 Holey sheet. My family works in warehousing in the GHA, specifically plastic storage, and I've thrown containers before when I was working in summer during HS and just after HS before college-you get in the container and toss the packaged product several feet to another person who stacks it on a pallet-and that is not a packaged product you can throw! Those should be plastic-wrapped pallets that the forklift can just pull off!
They don't forget. It's a SLAPP using the NDA as an excuse - betting on the fact getting a lawyer and fighting back can get very expensive in the US especially.
Why can't we have this kind of journalism everywhere like we used to. This is the kind of old school, we got you through hard work reporting that's been gone for decades now. Steve needs a 60 minutes type show covering all topics, not just PC.

Exposes like this build trust among your subscribers that you are about covering facts and truth not doing what is most beneficial to you financially or to get "special treatment and access" from vendors. I will echo what I said after the Artesian Build story. GN has carved its own unique space as Journalists that happen to cover the tech space. This type of reporting is hard as it doesn't make friends in an already small and deeply interconnected business community. Its easier to cover the fluff and except all the perks than to really dig in and report on the exploitative business practices. Keep up the amazing work Steve and team.
Can you start doing a limited t-shirts commemorating the occasions like this? It would be cool if you had a wall with those T-shirt behind the glass keeping the history of you reporting on such good reports. It'd be good for the industry to know that there's a place that keeps track of bad business practices.
@@GamersNexus It could be a graveyard of bad business practices, but also it could be a place to pin success stories of the employees coming from such disastrous management later on, when you meet them back in the industry because we know it will happen.

It's ingrained in the culture of the company and the country. While it is nice to have hope, racism, corruption and the way you treat the very people who make your company a success is far from the minds of those at HQ.
It's people like you that want the company to succeed that give it a chance. Thank you for your work while you were there, and best of luck to those that still are!
Yeah, it's consistency that's the hardest to gain.... easy to say you'll change, live by that for a week... but before long the engrained sentiment takes root again, especially of the old hands and orignal management is left in place and unchecked. Glad you got out, hope you landed well.

By the way, is that his job really? To go and hunt for thief companies? If he (and the people behind the GN corp) going for Boeing-level fukups, will he also be killed? Checking your daily/weekly/monthly dose of tech news, hardware benchmarks is one thing. Hunting down some smallish manufacturing companies in a shtty remote locations, like in Slovenia (dont get me wrong, Slovenia is a wonderful lovely place in reality, have been there!) is a completely different thing.
Boy oh boy, I guess I can say with almost a 100% certainty that EK is not going to get back on its feet any time soon, that should be a good lesson to them and other companies attempting similar behaviour, great one again Steve, glad to see that you're following up with this to the end, cheers
Your level of in-depth investigating is one of the many reasons I am subscribed to you. The investment on your part to bring this all to light -all while knowing the kind of legal headaches you might be opening yourselves up to given EK's ridiculous history of using ridiculous litigation- is beyond admirable. Keep it up, Steve. The industry needs people like you. I'll definitely be picking up (more) merch from your store!
For those who dont know, the reason so many companies register Delaware as its home, or have traces to a company "in delaware" is because of the very lacking tax laws there for businesses. Just like people with expensive cars register them in montana. Montana doesnt have sales tax, so they save tons of money. If anyone is interested in the delaware loophole, the channel "half as interesting" did a video on it. Normally i dont cross promote other channels, but i think its quite relative to this video
It doesn't have anything to do with sales tax or "lacking" tax laws. Many businesses choose to incorporate in Delaware because they have unique laws that govern corporations (compared to other states in the US), namely anonymity of officers, Court of Chancery, and more flexible/advantageous ways to structure and operate your business. It's also preferred because most investors and legal advisors are familiar with how the law works there, creating somewhat of a snowball effect with the number of registered businesses. tldr; it's a familiar and advantageous environment to set up your business.
I haven't watched any tech videos in a year or two. Jumping back in with a few of these recent GN ones has been awesome. Jesus Christ, I'm only barely twenty minutes in, but I felt like I needed to say thank you; there is evidently something very unique ideologically/culturally about how Gamers Nexus operates, because I just cannot imagine any other "tech TH-camrs" having such strong convictions that they'd:

Slovenia is part of EU, the law is not on EK's side in EU either.
I don't think you will find a single country where a NDA would cover criminal activities, that would make the law of a country basically toothless.
Ya, dumbasses think it does. Then they end up in court for financial fraud and election interference.
there is not a single country in the world where a NDA applies to criminal activity.

Cheers for the heads up.
Delaware is the murcian version of hosting your business in ireland
