Fun fact, the reason why businesses register themselves in Delaware (29:54) is due to how the state has the cheapest business registration and operation fees. They allow any company to register there, even if their main HQ is in California.
Really appreciating the level of dedication - and resources - required for such a comprehensive report, and how you always remember to highlight the implications for the people who fall directly victim to those situations
Jesus Christ, I'm only barely twenty minutes in, but I felt like I needed to say thank you; there is evidently something very unique ideologically/culturally about how Gamers Nexus operates, because I just cannot imagine any other "tech TH-camrs" having such strong convictions that they'd: - A. Put in the level of effort required to even just half-ass some sort of shoddy hit-piece of this magnitude, let alone the effort to ensure the reporting is as objective, fair, and reliable as these genuine industry-journalism videos have been. - B. Lose seemingly all sense of self-preservation regarding funding required to make these happen, combined with the potential for burning bridges, blowback, frivilous lawsuits, and so on. It is very refreshing to see, especially when the rest of this sphere seems to speak out only after someone else has been brave enough to take all of the major risks, and even then, only after carefully calculating whether it is advantageous for them to do so.
Thanks for that. You are absolutely right on point B. There is a chance for calculating behind the scenes by powerful people, but I think we are well equipped now to deal with any such problems.
@GamersNexus reaching a helping hand out to the former/soon-to-be former employees... hands down the most honorable thing I've ever seen on YT. You guys are heroes, and I mean that sincerely.

I love how companies forget that a NDA does not apply to criminal activities in the USA: A NDA cannot be used to hide, prevent testification, or hinder investigation of a crime in the USA. Nor, for that matter, does a NDA prevent a person from bringing allegations against any employee or employer. Essentially, if it's against the law, the NDA is cast aside. This holds true in a number of other countries, as well. I don't know if it does in Slovenia, however. 10:40 Holey sheet. My family works in warehousing in the GHA, specifically plastic storage, and I've thrown containers before when I was working in summer during HS and just after HS before college-you get in the container and toss the packaged product several feet to another person who stacks it on a pallet-and that is not a packaged product you can throw! Those should be plastic-wrapped pallets that the forklift can just pull off!
They don't forget. It's a SLAPP using the NDA as an excuse - betting on the fact getting a lawyer and fighting back can get very expensive in the US especially.
I just left a company who did nearly the exact same thing... Tax fraud, wage theft, late on making payments to property, OSHA violations out the rear and changing the LLC to wipe the company of liability. So many smaller companies are guilty of this and so many more people outside of huge corporations are getting screwed due to them being able to continuously get away with doing business like this.
These loopholes need to be closed, and the people making the call need to be held personally responsible. Not allowing a business to take the blame so it can be foisted off at the stoke of a pen.
Hi Steve, just picked up the new foil shirt to support what you are doing in the industry. Been watching you for years, and watching your growth and level of detail to your content is outstanding. Cheers to you and your team.

@@wpgspecb GN's lawyer certainly isn't chasing ambulances here. The employment law firm in Texas is also doing great work in holding company's accountable. They'll almost certainly take the cases on commission, which means they don't get paid unless they win. @@ganymedeix9511It's not just cost, but the willigness to expend the effort and to be impartial and balanced that makes good journalism. Its easier to cover the fluff and except all the perks than to really dig in and report on the exploitative business practices. Keep up the amazing work Steve and team.

Fun fact, the reason why businesses register themselves in Delaware (29:54) is due to how the state has the cheapest business registration and operation fees. They allow any company to register there, even if their main HQ is in California.
The hilarious thing here is despite all that, they still have pending debt with Delaware.
Delaware also has the most competent legal system for business law.

Really appreciating the level of dedication - and resources - required for such a comprehensive report, and how you always remember to highlight the implications for the people who fall directly victim to those situations
Great work GN. Thanks for bringing it to light.
Thank you GN! This is amazing stuff.
Jesus Christ, I'm only barely twenty minutes in, but I felt like I needed to say thank you; there is evidently something very unique ideologically/culturally about how Gamers Nexus operates, because I just cannot imagine any other "tech TH-camrs" having such strong convictions that they'd:

Slovenia is part of EU, the law is not on EK's side in EU either.
I don't think you will find a single country where a NDA would cover criminal activities, that would make the law of a country basically toothless.
Ya, dumbasses think it does. Then they end up in court for financial fraud and election interference.
there is not a single country in the world where a NDA applies to criminal activity.
I want to give this thanks, not even because I have interest per se in this specific issue, but just wanting to support GN based on principle.

Excellent reporting GN! Wish I could give more, I hope more young people get more engaged with corporate malfeasance like this. THANK YOU!
Even just watching is enough! We sincerely appreciate donations of any amount. Thank you!
Thanks Steve!
Edvards "apology" video looked like one of those ransom demand films where you're being held at gunpoint off camera.

@@wpgspecb GN's lawyer certainly isn't chasing ambulances here. The employment law firm in Texas is also doing great work in holding company's accountable. They'll almost certainly take the cases on commission, which means they don't get paid unless they win. I will echo what I said after the Artesian Build story. GN has carved its own unique space as Journalists that happen to cover the tech space. This type of reporting is hard as it doesn't make friends in an already small and deeply interconnected business community. Its easier to cover the fluff and except all the perks than to really dig in and report on the exploitative business practices. Keep up the amazing work Steve and team.
I dare someone to find a more in depth, comprehensive, and professional investigative report than what Gamers Nexus has done. Every major news network should be taking note of this. Just amazing.
Except this "Investigative report" is mostly filler like "what is an LLC".
Literally any major newspaper that's not owned by Murdoch? If you consume junk media, don't assume the majority is the same.
The audience is not business savvy mostly gamers ranging from very different ages. Most likely this will also be shared by other outlets so it s better to not to leave anything to imagination. @@Schule04

Yeah, it's consistency that's the hardest to gain.... easy to say you'll change, live by that for a week... but before long the engrained sentiment takes root again, especially of the old hands and orignal management is left in place and unchecked.
Glad you got out, hope you landed well.
