FYI, the director gave a clarification stating that it is not a temple, it's a Durga puja pandal.. and as a Bengali we celebrate Durga puja as a festival.. we do go to the Pandal with shoes on.. but if u go to the stage where the idol is then u need to take off ur shoes.. otherwise it's fine.. hope it's clear noe
M also from kolkata nd have seen many durga pandal but never saw bell in any durga pandal.

If Burj khalifa can be a concept for pandal why not a temple bell ?
@@Sk-xe6es till date I have seen more than 1000 pandal in kolkata nd yeah durga puja is for creativity but never saw any bell falling from celling. So the director simply trying to whitewash there mistake

The director cleared that where ranbir is going with his shoes on is not a temple it is a durga puja pandal( tent) where a person can go with their shoes into the pandal but can't go where maa durga deity is situated
Nobody wears shoes in pandal dude. That is a kind of temporary temple to praise Goddess Durga.

As someone in love with theoretical astrophysics and yogic philosophy, I find such movies absurd but maybe they are important to make kids get interested in science and their ancient philosophy. 2) We had some people in our community, upset because of one shot in our Trailer - Ranbir's character wearing shoes as he rings a Bell.
As the Creator of this film (and a devotee), I wanted to
humbly address what happened here.
In our movie, Ranbir is not entering a temple, but a Durga Puja Pandal. My own family has been organising a similar kind of Durga Puja Celebration for... 75 years! One, which I have been a part of since my childhood. In my experience, we only take off our shoes, right on the stage where the Goddess is, and not when you enter the Pandal.
It is personally important for me to reach out to anyone who may have been upset with this image... because above all, Brahmastra is created as a movie experience which pays respect to, and celebrates - Indian culture, traditions and history. That is at the heart of why I made this movie, so it is very important to me that this feeling, reaches every Indian who is watching Brahmastra!
