Wouldn’t dream of it! The last few videos haven’t been as oven centric as I’ve been playing with inverters and appliances, but the oven still gets its fair share of use!
The screen is a raspberry pi running VenusOS connected to all of the Victron equipment. All of the Victron devices connect together using VE.Direct. I am thinking about making a video about how it is all set up at some point.
@@BakedInMyCar that would be awesome! id love to make one but ive never played around with a raspberry pi before, does the screen use much battery to run?
You can also buy a readymade unit from Victron, but it is more expensive. The pi doesn’t draw much at all, along with the WiFi network running in the car, the whole setup uses about 0.6amps an hour.
👍awesome 👍
Awesome mark
I was worried for a few moments that you’d ditched your oven.

Ok, I'm buying one for the FJ Mark :D You using your starter battery as well?
Let us know how it goes! The DCS lithium bank replaces the starter and Aux battery with one bank. So technically I am using the starter!
Haha I literally just unpacked it and you replied. Trying to figure out how to turn it off...
@2adventure_oz921 it seems to stay in a flashing standby mode as it cools down. It will only draw power while there is a pan on it.
Ah cheers, Google translate didn't help much lol
nice work. The toaster ? was that off the inverter or a 12 volt one ? I have just got an induction cook top bit not used it in the car yet.
Thanks heaps! The toaster is also off the inverter, so that factored into the power usage.
