@@FSG.OUT.not really. Liverpool lost the league at Palace. 3-0 with 5 minutes to go and Chelsea didn't win anything that season. Weren't like it was the last game of the season between Liverpool and Chelsea. Besides all that happened is Rodgers got sacked and Liverpool got Klopp. Not really the best revenge in the world
@SigmundAnschutz I mean can you blame them? No one had heard of him 2 weeks ago, I’ll back the manager, don’t get me wrong, but this isn’t exactly a very exciting appointment, you think the club would have tried a little harder to please the fans after the heartache that has been this season
It's absolutely ridiculous that they keep pointing out Chelsea, they lost at Crystal Palace after, that's when they conceded. After that Chelsea game they still had a chance to go on win.
Technically, but we were considerably behind on goal difference. Even if we won 3-0 at Palace it perhaps wouldn't have done anything. The loss at Chelsea was when the title was no longer in Liverpool's hands. Even a 1-1, or 0-0, draw would have been fine, which is why I don't really blame the slip. Still had plenty of opportunity to not lose that match
Legend player.... Always will be but what's the point of asking him what it takes to be Liverpool manager? Hope he is never anywhere near getting the job. We don't want Souness Mark II
Stevie is not the best managerial communicator. Would say Arne Slot has much more gravitas. If Stevie hadn’t been a great player he would never have managed a big club. But he was a superb player yes.
I agree with this. I find Gerrard’s tone and the way he speaks completely false. It’s like he’s putting this on to sound professional. He’d be better being more relaxed as a communicator.
glad to see stevie looking back on point again and in tip top shape ! dont give a flying f about his managerial carer now Jurgens gone Stevie needs back in some capacity
The problem with Gerrard, and I say this with more respect than with a negative impression, he's ultra loyal. Nobody can doubt that. But. That loyalty can also be perceived as selfishness. If I said he was 'selfish'....how could you contrast 'selfish' from loyalty? He is a decent person and has some experience now....but suppose he manages Liverpool....but he flunks for whatever reason....his legacy will be at risk. Would I like to see SG as the boss? Maybe.....but not yet. He's still not ready. Would he do well at City? Chelsea? United? I don't think he would. Most would agree with that. That being said, the new LFC manager may also flunk and SG may then get his chance....
@Klippity_Klopp I'm not sure that's true. There is a saying....you're only as good as your last game. Kenny Dalglish was one of our best ever players....and won the league as manager....and is fondly remembered because of it. Kevin Keegan was a great player....but not so great as a manager...and how you remember him (or not) is your bag....but most don't rate Keegan at all now. A memory that's wilfully forgotten I would argue. Gerrard is comparable to Dalglish currently, not Keegan...but would he end up being like Keegan? Time may well tell...
@Klippity_Klopp Keegan was a great player. No doubt about it. But the point I'm trying to convey is that despite Keegan's ability as a player, most remember him for his manager roles with England and Newcastle and he was average at best. He isn't remembered for his abilities as a player unless you restrict the conversation only to Liverpool fans.
@Klippity_Klopp As I said, Keegan is only remembered fondly by Liverpool fans as a player.....but only Liverpool fans. For most others, he doesn't stick in anyone's mind now. I know your point and I don't agree with it. SG could end up like Kenny....or Keegan: remembered.....or forgotten. As it is now, he is a legend.
@Klippity_Klopp all good man, I hope he makes manager one day. Not sure he's ready yet but if Everton get relegated, Everton could be the training ground for a big club....right? ;)
How would Gerrard know what it takes to be manager of Liverpool??? Asking him is pointless really. And he should never ever be given the Liverpool job after the way his villa team gave up a 2 goal lead against city on the last day of the season costing Liverpool the league a few seasons ago
The Chelsea game wasn't the game that cost Liverpool the premier League we had few more games left so why are people thinking Chelsea game cost us the premier League
@@DarrenFinn-s4u I can say it. Because they lost against Chelsea. They need to catch Man City on goal difference and against Palace they went chasing lots of goals, left themselves open at the back and conceded goals and drew. Would not have happened if they had not lost against Chelsea as a normal win against Palace would have done.
Liverpool's ownership been data-driven for decades and Michael Edwards has a Harvard Physics Ph.D as Head of Research. I'm perfectly fine if they never hire Gerrard as manager.
Some players have their era but Stevie G would walk into any current team in the World.
Stevie will always be a legend for just having that hairline..🔥

It is our dream that he would one day win the league as manager of Liverpool.
opposition fans dream of him being given the chance lmao
Not going to happen. He’s not good enough manager to get Liverpool job. Few people are.

@brucegarethgeorge I'm a Liverpool fan but let's be honest it will be a nightmare. But hes a legend of our club
Is it really hd couldn't even stay on his feet to win it as a player 😂
Absolute legend
Steve Davis was shit in the grand scale of things ffs
Desde Argentina espero verlo a Steve, crack total!!!
The Chelsea slip was only a 1-0 lead; Liverpool failed to score that day. It wasn't just about one person's slip -
Henderson was sorely missed that match.
Mourinho got his revenge that day after losing in the semifinals of the Champions League at Anfield in both 05 and 07!
