I live in PA USA and I 'ordered' a Vegas Red X2 M35i with every available package and option. A bit over 60K USD and what I thought, given all the hype, was a great deal. Shifted down a notch from my fully-equipped X3 M40i. Ordered early December 2023. No information available on its build and delivery status until early May, when my dealer informed me that the model (?), my configuration (?), any X2 (?), would NOT be provided to customers in the US. No information from BMW area or corporate as to the reason. I checked dealer inventories from Boston to LA and found only a few low-end "lot cars" - mainly non-Ms, two half-equipped Ms. Does anyone know what's going on? A flaw found at the last moment? Baltimore? Robots on strike? Well, if I order another Bimmer. it'll be a 2025 X3 M50, so I can go down to my home state and pick it up. No ocean to cross. Help.
NO on the 'adaptive' suspension!!! In the X1 and X2 it's a *passive* 'adaptive" suspension. It doesn't actually change handling with modes, it changes with the drive (supposably) because it's a passive system! I suggest to *watch reviews with adaptive* or drive both. I've watched several and they all said skip it, the ride is worse, definitely not more comfortable like one would assume.
I bought one of these to replace my X1 and skipped the adaptive suspension. I have owned several BMWs and one thing I never said to myself was “Gosh I sure wish this car had a stiffer suspension”. The standard suspension is controlled enough for any non race mode. Unfortunately, the shift paddles would have been nice, but only come with the M sport package. The premium package includes surround cameras in addition to the blind spot monitoring so that helps with the visibility. It’s really not much worse than the X1 so I was already used to it. Another note is the skylight is kind of worthless because it doesn’t open for ventilation, but it comes with the premium package whether you like it or not. On the seats, I picked the active instead of the sports seats. They also have adjustable lumbar support but add massage which helps on long driving trips. Redesign is “meh” but the Cape York Green color is pretty. To me BMWs are kind of like Toyotas. You don’t buy them for their looks but the engineering and solid construction. The main thing for me is that it’s inoffensive unlike those BMWs with the gigantic nostril grills or the the Lexuses with the chain link fence covering the entire nose.
I like Gold Pony, but I don't understand why he has over 1,100 videos but there isn't one review for MINI. BMW owns MINI, so I'm sure he could find one to review.
That is an extremely hideous car. My stepdad just had his X2 delivered. It looks horrible in pictures but even worse when looking at the actual car. There are no redeeming features in terms of its looks.

The closest Mini dealer to me is about 2hrs away unfortunately. I would certainly love to review a new Mini! 😁
