In a larger timescale, the first type will be naturally eliminated because their ability to cope with a complex and ever-changing world is too weak. I admire your attitude and resilience in experiencing China.
The woman on that boat at 4:12 is so helpful despite the language barrier with yous. I don't think I've been anywhere in this World that someone would walk a couple hundred metres to help you get your ticket and then take you back to make sure you get on the boat. Only in China.
I was advised to change my plan to buy a more costly and less convenient and😂 slower train ticket back to the province😮 of Sa Dain in Guangzhou at the Xiamen 😅Train Stn ticket Office. The young woman asked to change her seat and talked started a 1-1 Personal chat. She spoke exc. English but. she disembarked way before Shenzhen . My arising fear was squashed when the jolly plump young man comforted. It's not far to Shenzhen now. I'll help you. Don't worry. He went all the way to getto a destination Place name I had no idea abt... The short end was. He guided me to the back of the bus... at one stage my eyes brimmed with unstoppable tears... My only consolation was the group of people near us all knew the name of my campus.the bus broke.down and we had to take the less costly rickshaw... the two men from very different background had a discussion and a bi Issue - led disagreement... At one stage, the Rickshaw. Man threated to drop us off on the middle of nowhere! At last they dropped me off at the campus gates...it was 2.40. am.
Guilin is a beautiful place. Its classical landscape is in Yangshuo, a small county near Guilin. Boat cruises from Guilin to Yangshuo take tourists to see all the famous views.
How things have changed, was there in 1986, kids were begging and always remember this little kid with no shoes staring us on the coach hoping to get something off the tourists. Now they are giving tourists snacks. Need to visit Guilin again.

You should stay in Yunnan during summer, everywhere else is so hot like hell. Guangxi is so hot and humid. Don't go to Guangxi in summer, it's either pouring rain or just super hot weather.

Yangshuo is the place to go, Guilin is nothing much. You need to do some research before you go to China, esp for first timer. Even I speak Mandarin, I feel the need to do some online research so that I don't go to the "wrong" places.

I think the female kids are from HanJiang city in Guangdong province. Btw, to avoid summer heat you guys may visit higher altitude places such as Yunnan Lijiang, Shangri-la, Tibet (perhaps Lingzhi which is close to Shangri-la), Western Sichuan, Qinghai, and other north west and north east provinces of China (except desert places).

@@Alan_and_Shannon This is not your mistake. The QRCode or POS machines of some shops do not support Visa or Mastercard payments. They only support easy-pay, which is the Chinese payment system. The high-level shops or places generally support Visa and Mastercard.
International cards have a transaction limit. I think you would need a Chinese bank account, but not sure whether that is possible for short term visa holders. If you have, or could get GBP notes you could exchange and use cash.

Would recommend Yangshuo (small county near Guilin) and rent mopeds to cruise around. They cost 50-60 cny per day per moped

The most popular kebab meat in china is pretty much always gonna be lamb, like the larger ones you two got. The smaller ones are beef.

@@Alan_and_Shannon This is not your mistake. The QRCode or POS machines of some shops do not support Visa or Mastercard payments. They only support easy-pay, which is the Chinese payment system. The high-level shops or places generally support Visa and Mastercard.
International cards have a transaction limit. I think you would need a Chinese bank account, but not sure whether that is possible for short term visa holders. If you have, or could get GBP notes you could exchange and use cash.

I heard WeChat & Alipay enable foreign users to link international cards. So why you cannot purchase that camera?
Some shops do not set it up properly to accept international cards, most of the time it works
You can go to the bank for converting some local notes for the DJI.
