Think of blue cheese when you eat stinky tofu. Its basically a similar idea, except one is made from fermenting milk solids and one is made from fermenting tofu. It is an acquired taste. However different street vendors make it differently so maybe this version didn't taste so good. There is also different types of stinky tofu and personally i prefer the puffier versions because they have a nice crunch when friend and have a nice fluffy center. In China, the best tasting places usually have massive lines :D

The lower half accept what you say in many language such as English and Cantonese. The translation is show in the INVERTED upper half both in Simplify Characters and Spoken. The upper half also accepts what is said in Mandarin. Super convenient. I am a Hongkonger, sometimes I need it to translate Cantonese to Mandarin.

A small suggestion, if you have difficulty communicating with merchants like at the end of the video, you can find young people near you to help you. It is easier for young people to understand the content you translate using translation software, and it is easier for young people to quickly know how to use your translation software to communicate with you. The highest proportion of young people who know English is around 18 years old, because this age group is about to take the college entrance examination, and English is a compulsory subject.

Some street-stalls dont use business Alipay QR code, they use personal QR code. So foreign payments will fail. That's also why you hardly ever fail to make payments in big shopping malls.the small vendors do not need to pay taxes.

Thank you Alan and Shannon. Nice video!! I regret I didn't post these earlier: 1. A recommendation to someone who wants to discover Nanning: 3. Rice noodles (ingredient similar to pho) are a must-have in Guangxi, 螺蛳粉stinky rice noodle and 桂林米粉Guilin rice noodle are famous. In Nanning, 老友粉laoyou rice noodle in Nanning, other than 舒记(shu ji) I would recommend 友缘老友(you yuan) or 北湖老友 (bei hu). 卷筒粉rolled rice noodle is also wonderful. 4. Lots of delicious local food in Nanning has sour and refreshing tastes, so if you like that kind of taste, Nanning is a must-go!

If it is blue cheese, you may accept it, but Stinky tofu is essentially similar to blue cheese. The difference is that one is plant protein, the other is animal protein. Moreover, the blue cheese is eaten raw, and Stinky tofu is heated, so Stinky tofu is safer without the comfort zone.
Stinky tofu is not the birthplace of Stinky tofu. Twenty years ago, people in Guangxi did not have this kind of food. Stinky tofu was only sold because it was famous, so the taste is not the best. The best Stinky tofu is in Hunan Province. So don't refuse just because of one attempt, you should continue to try where you have found many people buying.
A small suggestion, even if it's street food, please check the local provincial snacks and focus on them.Although I am not from Guangxi, I have been to Guangxi. Guangxi is famous for its natural scenery. Welcome to Guangxi!Although I am not from Guangxi, I have been to Guangxi. Guangxi is famous for its natural scenery. Welcome to Guangxi!

Well, just like ye both of course, that's the closest they got that reminded them the taste of home. Nowadays, those pork blood chinese sausages are more for the older generation when you move south towards Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Somehow the younger generation tend to steer away from them.
