Mariah Carey's album 'Daydream' lost to Alanis Morsette's 'A Jagged Little Pill'. I don't think she was necessarily snubbed, but I think this case proves why award shows are nonsense shows that are just meant to make money. Both albums are GREAT. It's hard to say one is better than the other for me because they both have value in different ways. But capitalism thrives off of making everything competitive, so what you gon do? 🤷🏽♀️
your statistics regarding black artists are very flawed, considering the population statistics between black vs white people overall. Other than the statistics, decent video.

Soundtrack This track record is HORRIBLE!
I am always captivated and in awe of your scriptwriting! It's baffling-if you were to put all the grammy snubs (deserved POC artists) in a room, there's undeniable talent and impact that has come from these incredible artists. Unfortunately, this type of behaviour is seen throughout a lot of mainstream media. You said it the best, it's completely inexcusable.
@@musermusings 🙌🏽 🤔 hmmm lemme see maybe some videos on specific album eras from different artist like Beyoncé, Madonna, Usher, Whitney, Mariah, MJ, Janet etc
Hmm I wouldn’t classify the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill as solely a “rap album” just because she’s mostly singing on the album. However, it does fall under the umbrella of Hip Hop which includes rap, R&B, and etc. I think the point still stands but I just wanted to clear that up even Tyler, the Creator’s album Igor wasn’t really a “rap album” but still fell under the rap category at the Grammys.
What are some snubs of the past that I forgot to mention? List them here!
Wu Tang Clan and A Tribe Called Quest never won a Grammy
The Fugges' "Score" lost to Celine Dion in '97

I’m not surprised the least bit
The future of the award show: Business as per usual

They obviously want to enrage people so they get more attention. Honestly, they get me every time, so who's the real 🤡
They get us all every year 😂
The Grammys lost me a while back, you can tell those numbers don’t add up.
For real!

Wow, thank you! Appreciate your motivating words. 🙏🏽
The Grammys? Sorry I don't know her
Mariah would be proud
Great video per usual 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks for staying tuned in! What are some topics you’d like me to cover in the future?
@@musermusings 🙌🏽 🤔 hmmm lemme see maybe some videos on specific album eras from different artist like Beyoncé, Madonna, Usher, Whitney, Mariah, MJ, Janet etc
Another topic could be about Beyoncé “controversial” Super Bowl show in 2016
Rebecca Black should’ve won Record of The Year for “Friday” in 2012
😂😂😂
😂🤣😂
Biggest snub of all time
Worst thing for me is how rappers like Juice Wrld and x did not get a single nomination and werent even in the memoriam at the grammys
They didn't deserve a nomination, sorry.
@@musermusings what you yappin about the def both deserved atleast a nomination for best rap song a couple of times and also best new artist for sure
im not saying that for example lucid dreams should have won but it def deserved an nomination imo
In 2023, start boycotting and #CancelAwardShows
👏🏽
Nobody is boycotting anything. Be realistic.

I knew it was a scam back in 1988 when they snubbed Michael Jackson and George Michael and gave it to old fart Paul Simon for Album Of The Year
It’s been a scam from the first day 😂
The grammys favorite pop music over hip hop
We love.how Jay Z spoke his Truth!! Queen B should have won best album of the year The math not mathing !!
🙏🙏🙏
Not really.theres a difference between having great singles vs great albums
Wow this video aged well considering Snoop Dogg
What about Snoop Dogg?
@@musermusings he was slamming the Grammy for snubbing him his entire career recently. Type it in, you’ll see articles
Its a big drama fest
Exactly!

Don’t stop what?
Great video. I stopped watching the 'shammies' over 10 years ago.
Thanks! Haha, the “shammys”, “scammys”, it’s got a ring to it. Check out my other videos, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them!
