Your videos always give me something to think about. I am currently focused on getting to Italy and haven't given too much thought to being a life-long learner once I am there. The journey is often the best part of an experience. I don't want it to end when I step foot on Italian soil. I want the excitement, the learning, and the relationship-building to continue.
As italian from the north, we normally think that if you are living in Palermo you could have a really hard experience of life. This beatiful city comes from, a not so long, horrible times. I visit the city in the early 2000 and they began to exit from these tragedies. As I know, from persons who lived sometimes in Palermo recently , things go better. Sorry for my english, that I try to improuve …hearing your gorgeous accent. (so better than BBC international …🫤)
I love your videos more and more...the notion of acceptance or not getting caught up in other people's experiences goes far beyond the concept of coming to terms with living in Italy...it is a philosophy that relates to so many areas of life. Thank you so much for all your insights!
All of your tips are spot on and make a lot of sense; however, is amazing how many people fail to appreciate the observations you have just made. Perhaps I am repeating myself but what I found admirable about you is the way you express yourself; everything makes sense and it is extremely clear. If I had to use one word to describe you it would be ELOQUENT. PS: You look great in that dress. 🤩
Somehow in this video you give off Malena's vibe (Monica Bellucci) :D Sicily is a good place to enjoy the sea and the nature. Not a good place to live. Purtroppo è così. Ce ne siamo andati via con mio figllio (nato a Catania) anni fa. Aanche la sua maestra ci ha detto che lì non c'è futuro e abbiamo fatto bene. No regrets, like at all. I wish we had done it earlier.
00:27 is the hardest to achieve especially if you come from a “better” place. Thank you for sharing and reminding us how to make our lives in Italy a more serene experience ✨
A few questions for you: when did you realise Italy is a so diverse country? Did you manage to learn some Neapolitan and Sicilian languages in 6 years?

Absolutely true; individual situation is the key point and that can be applied to every place in the world obviously. 👏
Absolutely - thank you!

No need to apologise at all - you did well! Yes there is that connotation linked to Palermo for sure.

Per stare bene in un paese occorre, in qualche modo, amarlo.
Assolutamente

Yes it really is but it’s one of the most important things to do to really be able to settle here I think. Thank you!

I have learnt some phrases of both Neapolitan and Sicilian and you learn this as you start to live here and also through my TH-cam Channel
