  • Over here at Black and Silver Nomadic our days tend to be pretty crazy! Also with a small fridge we just don't have space to prep things in larger containers! The food saver vacuum marinator container solves these issues for us by allowing us to prepare fully marinated food in minutes rather than hours or days, and we don't sacrifice ANY flavor! It's a super handy device that doubles as an air tight food storage container as well, and it comes in two sizes. All you need is a food saver with the accessory hose, or the standalone accessory vacuum. Also be sure to try out a bladed tenderizer when using this!

    Marinade Recipe:
    1/4 cup of Worteschire Sauce
    1/4 cup of Soy Sauce
1/4 cup of Apple cider or white wine Vinegar
1/3 cup of brown sugar or another sweetener to taste
    2 sprigs of rosemary
    2 cloves of garlic minced
    1 tablespoon of ginger grated
Black Pepper and/or Cayenne to taste
    1/2 lemon squeezed
Mix together and Adjust to Taste!
BONUS TIP: if you genuinely have no time to make a marinade, but want to give some flavor to poultry, seafood, or veggies, before they hit the grill, just throw your food into the food saver container and coat it with a quality Italian dressing! This is something many restaurants do for grilled veggies, and it's simple but super flavorful.

You're using that machine incorrectly. That accessory comes apart and you stick the nozzle into the hole. There is a process the machine runs through.

You shouldn’t tenderize them on a coated pan though 🙈 Otherwise, 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I was thinking the same thing- unless the tines didn't go clear through to the pan!

pretty sure that's not how you're ment to use that container... but it could be an diff model to mine.
    th-cam.com/video/orSASGDG8qc/w-d-xo.html
this is mine. my handheld accessory is circular... yours is an oval. my containers did come with and oval attachment though, so thank you 😅 I now know what that's for.
the lid on the container has both circle and oval shapes. but it seems I'm ment to remove the bottom bit according to the video, and plug it directly into that tiny hole.
the container has a marinade section and a seal section (to point the little arrow at). so maybe when SEAL is being used, you don't have to remove that bit in the video 🤷🏾‍♂️
what you did, can easily be done with just a bag, so people don't need to buy the containers. the containers are better used for the marinate function.
Or vacuum sealing something that malleable, or something that you reuse (although there are also reusable bags for that)
I've used the small container, to cut up blocks of butter (that i buy in bulk for cheap), into small 5g pieces. i use what i need, thn seal the container again, so the fat doesnt oxidise.

Read the directions on your FoodSaver. I don’t think that’s the right marinating technique.

agreed. there's a marinate function on your device. it only takes 12minutes. it vacuums and releases 3 (i think) times. which apparently ends up being as if you marinated for much longer.

No its not he was supose to wait for it to stop. Not easy find videos on how use the containers correctly foodsaver horrible and showing how long it takes. Guess depends on the size container.
