I'm a giver, but I do realise some people like me for it. It used to hurt when my giving was not reciprocated but since giving my life to Christ, I do it without expectation.
He mentioned a point about being discerning while you give and check with yourself on the source of your giving. If you have to set boundaries, do that. but don't stop. A giver can also say no sometimes and its okay.
My hommy, I remember when he came home and said Pitori Ke life he said kwa re Bua skgowa re Bua bo Sophitically sophisticated 😂😂😂yhooo Koketso is a whole mood m telling u. M super proud of you so much u come a long way. We were so blessed to have yo grandmother as our grandmother as well.
I was watching this video during the day, and I'm also a person who believes in the spirit of gifting. Right now, I just prayed, and after praying, I randomly opened my bible and pointed a part to read with my eyes closed, and it was on Luke 21. Which was written as follows "Jesus looked round and saw rich people dropping their gifts in the temple treasury, and he also saw a very poor widow dropping in two little copper coins. He said,"I tell you that this poor widow put in more than all others. For the others offered their gifts from what they had to spare of their riches;but she, poor as she is,gave all she had to live on"
Great to see how Koketso has grown and the work God is doing in him and through him. Remember him from Doxa Deo Inner City Campus when he used to be our youth leader. A phrase he would say in his prayer before preaching, "God speak to us through me". Thank God for your life.
I have to agree with Ursula that Muslims bare tabola when it comes to giving but not only that, even prayer ,even being steadfast and standing up for our faith. I think there are many things as Christians we are very relaxed about on some “God knows my heart”. I wish you guys could have a conversation around this one day. Just unpacking the different religions , their beliefs and practices and just why other religions are “better” at living out their beliefs than others.
I admire the CC crew's network...yall have depth and breadth in your squad. That could be a topic all on its own, how one can assemble their own Avengers squad.
A healthy giver is a healthy receiver. How he received the car is the perfect example of that. Pure gratitude with no theatrics 😅. A very introspective episode for me. ❤
I can understand what Koketso is talking about, when God gives you something you can make a difference in someone's life. Giving is a method of purification.
Quite an impactful conversation. I'm a giver myself and also learning alot from this conversation. Woow, very selfless Pastor, Christ like..., and God will surely continue to enlarge your territory sir.
Please consider having a woman (black lady preferably) to talk about growing up with a present father in the household. There is something about girls who were raised by both parents with very present and positive fathers. They just seem more confident. It would be great to hear how having that has influenced their lives.
Hai. I'm a black woman that was raised by both parents. My dad was calm, supportive & loving. I'm very confident & assertive. But, I doubt it has anything to do with my dad. I think people exaggerate the role of a dad & underrate the role of economics.
@LM-he7eb That is a very interesting perspective, thank you for entertaining my comment. I always made the assumption that just having a present father figure gives rise to you being confident and assertive. Do you mind expanding on what you mean in terms of the role of economics?
@@LM-he7ebI doubt it is an exaggeration. Please observe those around who grew up without the type of father you had. Privilege is not only through the lens of race or money, but experiences that some of us don’t even know we need.
@@masechabamakola4181 A 2parent household means there are 2 salaries. Better schools, better houses, better neighbourhoods & thus a better person. Stress shares between parents, means less stressed parents. Meaning if your mom was lesbian & raised you with her wife. You'd be leaving in a 2parent household with 2 moms. After giving my youthful life to a church or maybe two churches because I thought or told this is what God called us or me to I now regret it. I should have like most people that age gone to university and studied. The problem is that the decision has proved to be detrimental to my current financial security or position. And I can't go to any one and claim I have devoted my youthful life to your church or Ministry. Finally I would advise young people to prioritize their education and not religion like me but being cognizant of the fact that in this two churches I have acquired some skills and/ or experience which I can use to map the way forward. And of course the bishop from SOWETO advised me being trained in a church setting is the best thing that can happen to any man hence I should appreciate or be great full for the experience it can be utilised to further God's kingdom but currently I doubt that
Eish my mom was absent in my childhood .I take care of her but when she demands unrealistically I get triggered & stop completely .I think I become too sad & remind her of how my dad had to be the one present when I started menstruating & taught me all about how to use & dispose sanitary pads .Discussed reproductive health with me,a very sensitive topic for a father but he had no choice. While she was out there enjoying life .My dad passed away while I was 14 She appeared for a while & went back to Gauteng .Leaving us to find our way Now older & all born again .She is exactly what we wished for while young .But nje I get triggered for months especially during Father's day month ,my dad's birthday & I completely go MIA on her despite knowing she depends on me .I think I need to go back to therapy 😢.I start thinking of days I would cook porridge, pit lemons & drink like a smoothie for dinner just to manage sleep coz when the tummy is empty one cant eat .Eish GOD help me
Oh wow, your story is very touching. Thanks be to God for helping you cope all these years and for the wonderful father you had. May God completely heal you of the childhood trauma, strengthen you and do even greater things through you🙏
Hy sis. Your story is really touching and relatable. I am sorry about everything that you went through. You don't deserve any of it I admire your strength for trying again with your mother. I need you to talk to God exactly about how you feel about your mother and your past. He will renew your heart and mind and give you a forgiving heart. 💖Sending you love and strength I also received from God our loving Father of eternity.. ❤
This conversation was so impactful in my life. I always learn from each episode and I have been especially enlightened by this one. Thank you for exposing us to this story and to Pastor for teaching us from a deeply personal perspective.
When we were growing, there were lots of ppl staying at house, some visiting and we were told it's relatives. My sister and I, used to slave around these ppl. One day i cooked, dished up for everyone and myself and went to take a bath. When I was ready to devour my food, my mom had given it to some township drunk, and from that day i stopped cooking. When we went to varsity, my father struggling, at the same time, my brother, sister and i, all relatives disappeared. When we finished, with my brother being a doctor, they all came back. I was so bitter, to date i refuse to help any relatives that didn't contribute anything to my life. I don't want visitors in my house, and i live in another province 4 hours away from family just to avoid these ppl. So, these childhood experiences affect us differently.
Please pray about it and seek therapy,it's a childhood trauma you need to deal with now,I don't think you want to age without finding pleasure in helping others.Giving is a very freeing principle. May God help you.
Hawuu Ursh, u are a Mzalwane moes wena kade fasting😅! Soo greatful for this episode, i mean i followed Moritu and been soo impressed by their recent purchase... and you like, hawu God is this just only 'grace' vhele? Giving is a good gesture. However, be careful because some people will end up using you, more especially in relationships. Lol there are dudes who actually send their gf's to varsity 😂, and when she's educated, she dumps him because he doesn't meet her standards 😅 I don't blame such ladies because it doesn't make sense to me that one can actually decide to upgrade someone's life at the expense of helping a family member or themselves.
Some of us are fortunate that we are not religious so we can look at things with a clear vision. I suspect this thing with this guy will not end well. When there are millions involved and there is no written constitution or law that has to be followed on how money is spent and zero accountability. We are working on the honour system lets just trust him and have faith in knowing he is a good guy. But good luck to him at least people were not tricked they gave willingly so they cannot complain one day when it comes out that not everything is as it seems. This might seem like a negative comment but my rule of thumb is when it's too good to be true it usually is not true. I might be wrong and a complete hater but I don't believe in good people who just do good for strangers there is always a catch unless you are Bill Gates and charity is a tax write off.
@@tsakamhlabane9269It's OK to disagree but offer me a counter argument. Im not saying my opinion is right. What you offered was a lazy nothing response. Which is also fine.
That's the sad part of what the world and its evil has done to us by making us believe that people who are Christ-like don't exist at all. That's why even the Bible says in Matthew 6 that when we do good we must keep it discreet as much as we can so we can get our reward from God. And people who do good sincerely from their hearts do exist but the reason why you don't hear much about them so you can believe and know they exist is because evil is louder than what's righteous. How do I know this is true? Because I know that Salvation is a REAL thing. Salvation can make your heart to be so tender and so soft that you even shock yourself.
Not having a religion does not = clarity of mind or clarity of vision. And clarity of mind does not = you have a religion😉 Your assumptions is not true for those types of people that you think are religious.
