When my grandmother died some 40 years ago I was given here button tin which I’d played with as a child. I am now in my 70’s. I’ve knitted for all those years and as a result have been able to choose buttons from her tin. I’ve added to it of course but over the years she saved me lots of money !! The last cardigan I knitted was fun in that I couldn’t find enough of one colour despite finding one that was the right size. I ended up finding three different shades of blue for my blue cardigan. Amazingly works!! Thanks for your great podcasts! Love them I’m learning lots even though I’ve knitted most of my life!
The best thing I did with my button stash was to put matching buttons in small ziplock bags. This has made the search so much easier. However, it is true that the right buttons are NOT in your stash ! I knit mostly for children & hardly ever match buttons to the knitting. I like to put yellow or orange buttons on blue, pink buttons on pale green, alternate colours & generally not worry too much. I have put 6 different buttons [ same size ] on baby cardies for a DIL who loves that.
I ordered Double Time cardigan pattern today. I have never ordered your Fibre2go yarn before. Could you please tell me the colours of the cardigan you are wearing in your video, (self striping) and the blue. Just love it. There is 2 ply, 4ply, 8ply not sure what you said on your video I played it several times but could not get it. Then I will be able to order. Sign up for your newsletter and subscribed. ❤ Beautiful cardigans and designed to fit well. Thank you in advance for answering my question ahead of time. Now I am going back to visit all your other videos. ❤
Sorry I can’t catch he name of your cardigan with the zig zag on the side of the button band. I think it’s something like Morti or Mordi. Th cardigan is beautiful. Thanks you for your podcast
All my wonderful buttons I have found at op shops I love the vintage look

What a treasure! Funnily enough, the vintage buttons seem to work from my button box too! Your cardigan sounds like a great colour adventure!

The yarn in the cardigan I'm wearing are Flight DK & Pulse, two pure merino yarns from Skeinz.com. Happy knitting!
I purchased some buttons a few weeks ago. Can I find them 🤷
Cheeky buttons!
