- Virtual Tour of Columbia Heights Minnesota | Affordable Suburbs of Minneapolis
Colubmia Heights is an area that very often our local clients are looking at, but our relocation clients don't typically hear about or even really know about. This Virtual Tour will help at least put it on the map for y'all, and while it wont be the right fit for some of our peeps, it very well may be for others! If you're looking for an affordable suburb, minutes from the trendy cafes, breweries, art scene and more of northeast Minneapolis, then Columbia Heights should absolutely be on your radar! Enjoy the Virtual Tour

Grew up there in the 60's through the 90's, It has changed a lot.
I grew up in heights, so many memories.
I spent my 1st 21 years of life in Columbia Heights just 1/2 block west of the Heights Theater and Dairy Queen. We had a normal city lot that was only 40' wide x 120' deep which amounts to just over 1/10th of an acre. It seemed normal to a kid and I liked growing up there from '48 until I got married and left in '69. Times were obviously much different back in the 50' & 60's. I always felt safe there. My brother and I would walk up to Huset Park on the south side of 40th Ave. and 4-5 blocks west of Central Ave. nearly every day to play softball with whoever happened to be there or ice skate and play tag. We - and every other kid in the Heights - never worried about being abducted or harassed while walking alone of in groups. Like I say, it was a different time. In the summer we would constantly ride bikes everywhere... even as far away as Anoka (15 miles) to see my aunt, grandma and uncle. I was 10-15 at the time. My brother and I would occasionally stop and the Coon Rapids dam on out trips to Anoka and catch carp for fun. Lots and lots of memories and almost entirely good ones of my growing up in Columbia Heights.
Will be moving to the area in the next few years. I can't wait to start looking for a place to live!
Love the sirens 🚨 going off when he is talking how affordable Heights is. Lol 😂
Beautiful Minnesota blue sky! 🥰
Yesss!
Thank you for the video. How about a video on Falcon Heights please? It scores surprisingly well on Niche.
I got to admit there are nicer neighborhoods then others in Columbia Heights. The Innsbruck area in the NE part of Columbia Heights looks more upkept. I grew up in a somewhat troublesome neighborhood, which was known as the Shefield neighborhood. I am not sure if they still do. It is one of the highest elevations in Anoka County.
I researched where
Columbia Heights, Fridley and Spring Lake Park are was once apart of Manomin County long long ago it was later annexed into Anoka County
A lot of the b roll made me feel like I’m at home (well because I live and growing up here) but it would’ve been nice if you did some shot of the water tower at the very top or highest hill of Columbia Heights
I live close to Dairy Queen .. I didn’t see you to invite you to take coffee with me .. welcome next time
Haha! Next time!
I GO TO Valley View!!!
Great Job!
Thank you!!
