It really is a great string library for legato performance. Congrats on the release - this will get a lot of use in the right situations.

This is one library I need to get into my arsenal for sure. I see so many uses for it, it astonishes me. That demo by Blakus really took me to a place I've never been before but also miss at the same time. If that makes any sense. The detail that has been put in this library is jaw dropping and how the 8, 6, 6, 6, 4 is a really interesting and cannot wait to use it in a project in the future. I love the simplicity of not using the mod wheel as much as with other strings. I think that will really help with workflow especially when time is a factor for a sketch. Absolutely love the tone of those basses and how effortless it was for Christian to demonstrate the ease of using this library. Thank you both for all the work that you do and the amazing libraries you consistently put out. I look forward to exploring Spitfire Audio libraries on my Wishlist

When I first heard this library I thought it sounded amazing, then I heard some of the user demos on V I control, which put me off because they sounded a bit like a synth. After watching this demo again it reminded me how good this library is so I downloaded it this morning; I must say it lives up to the hype for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very useful video. I've been really enjoying this library, but I learned a bunch of things here. Paul's point of thoroughly using the lower dynamics is really important. A lot of the beauty is in those lower levels.

The strings sound gorgeous but the design of this whole library is just insane. I think Spitfire hired a new team of designers and every library in the recent past has been excellent on this front.

It would be great, if Spitfire could make a tutorial on how to use libraries like BBCSO or Appassionata Strings with Logic's new Dolby Atmos feature. Setting up the multi-output and "thinking" in spatial audio.

28:04 hmmm - it's the exact opposite of a "Spitfire Studio Strings", when legato "portamento" appears, when you play very softly, but when you play harder, it is "fast" legato

28:03 - Why I can't get this slur effect? I have tried many times - without the result. Only normal legato - no slured appears when I try to play like as shown. Why it is so complicated - while on my studio strings it is so much easy to get slur (porta) effect :(

am i right in understanding that theres no vibrato control on apassionata but the notes naturally just have vibrato as they are held out longer like how a player would usually play?

just a cello patch takes 10GB from memory. 8:17 you can see it right here. It sounds great but maybe find a way to optimize the samples? I mean competitors, like Performance Samples did it with Vista strings.

  • @isleofdeath

How will I realize a bow change when I do not record with a keyboard but from exported midi? Believe it or not, I am still a real composer, I can imagine an orchestra in my head and I put things to scores beforehand and do NOT use a keyboard for composing music. That is blasphemy imho.
