My favorite harness horse ever, Rambling Willie.Willie will always be the greatest harness horse of all time. Loved watching him race at his home base race track Sportsman's Park, Cicero, Illinois. I live close to Bob and Vivian Farrington when they lived in Darien Illinois.
Looking back on these beautiful racehorses which I was so lucky to see in person at the Big M but I also saw many races at Yonkers (which was the only track where my horse raced near my home in Northern New Jersey) oh and she finished 6th in a steady rain ! Saw so many great race horses at the Big M ! So many wonderful people and horses did I meet along this journey !!
Read the book, what an amazing story about an absolutely amazing horse with a heart the size of the great pyramid. He had every reason [injuries] to never race again so many times but some how so many times this horse came back, dug in and won over and over.
RAMBLING WILLY WAS ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS AND BOB FARRINGTON WAS A GOOD DRIVER BUT HE WAS A SPECIAL MAN GIVING A PART OF WILLY PURSE MONEY TO THE CHURCH WILLY WAS TAGGED WITH THE NAME OF THE HORSE THAT RACES FOR GOD HATS OFF TO THE FARRIINGTON FAMILY
One of the few times Jack got a name wrong...Barrney Fahrrnerrr...One of the best sons of Adios Cleo to look thru a bridle and a excellent horseman in Bill Deters as his pilot...
Joke of the day.... Two guys go the race track one day. Before the 1st race, one guy turns toward his friend and says, boy I hope I break even this afternoon, I could use the money.
@Local1Laborer Tom Durkin actually called a race at the Meadowlands with a horse called Pinocchio. He actually won by a head but Tom said he always wanted to call him winning by a nose!

How do you leave a racetrack with a small fortune?
You come to the racetrack first with a large fortune.
