My father Bill Stirton raced with Peter and his father in the Maple Leaf Trot in 1979 at Greenwood in Toronto. At the after party I was introduced to Peter. I remember the day my father told me of his passing. All these years later I remember well the sound of his voice and the expression on his face that day when he told me of Peter's tragic accident 🇨🇦♥️🇺🇸
Wow, it's so good to see anything associated with the late great Brandywine Raceway. How I miss that place -- I was trying to tell if that was Gene Hart calling the race in the background. Thanks so much for posting this.

I was working for Billy when we lost Peter. Such a terrible terrible morning in the barn when they gave us the news of his accident...........and then of course a few shorts years later we had a terrible night after we lost WR.
Brandywine was the best stretch on a 5/8 ths in the whole country. I also liked Freestate (torn down) , Hazel Park, and then Greenwood. PS: I miss Roosevelt too
