Liberty prime HATED THAT
Liberty Prime is gonna drop more than a MK 28. He's dropping a MK 100 tactical nuke on this camp
There wouldn’t be this place
nah he will obliterate the place
@@powerkill1084 thats what I mean by there wouldn’t be this place
I'm glad Skyline Valley had places that made you want to do more lore for Fallout 76.
It's nice that 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 can find interesting content in that dog water bug riddled MTX subscription game
It doesn't have much content after the main quest but I still enjoyed the main quest a lot. Hugo was a decently interesting villain tbh and while it's obvious hes s villain, they do a good job of making you wonder cause he seems genuinely sweet but then there's all the red flags. They can be chalked up to emotional distress due to his wife being in a coma, until you find out the truth. But it's not some bs twist villain cause it doesn't pretend like you were completely fooled by his demeanor. His actual motivations I'm eh on, a little cookie cutter but still fine, it works and the rest of his character is interesting like I said.
I am as well😄
place doesnt exist its in fallout 76
There is a terminal or a letter in the camp that tells that the the largest part of their community fled to safer area because they had a breach in their walls and it was no longer safe. It was the moment my feeling there is something wrong about these "settlers" became stronger.

You have the perfect skin for this one situation
Hello liberty prime
The tree was NOT knocked down by the bus, that is the top of the tree that the bus crashed into which is why there's a branch that pierced the front window and the drivers chest cavity through his abdomen.
Yeah I was super surprised that oxhorn even said out loud that he thought that Branch was growing from the bus driver's chest I know he's smarter than that
Maybe it was an homage to Firefly's Wash? Completely unnecessary and hard to explain.
@@zwhitson7175 that or it's a reference to final destination 😂😢 and why an entire generation has issues driving behind log trucks 😂
Ox never watched Final Destination, that's why
True this, I love Ox, but this is the 3% things he does that I don't like (I commented in Hank's vid), when he creates a story in his mind which becomes "a fact" or even "lore"
When there are other possibilities. He is very good, but he is not always right, and "this" proves it
@@simoncallelaverde I actually didn't catch the reference either, but then I only saw it once, long ago and didn't finish it...I just pointed out the description was entirely backwards since that was the top of tree and not the bottom.
In response to the Scorched plague Ox, the only people in Shenandoah were the rangers who were in their bunker and isolated and the vault dwellers who were turned into ghouls immediately after the bombs fell. According to the main story (quest: An Ounce of Prevention), ghouls are immune to the scorched plague. It has no way to spread and eventually the storm happened.

Ok.
Strange for the Oxhorn not to know.
There WERE a pioneer scouts in Soviet Russia, called, surprisingly "Pioneers".
Or ,in Russian "Pionery".
Yes, this was a division of the Komsomol, aka young communists. I almost missed that reference, thanks for pointing it out

It wasn't.
It was a step BEFORE the Komsomol,a stand - alone organization.

You missed the mannequin in the lake that ties into the ghost story. Also, there's a hidden cave under the waterfall.
Not even that hidden. Can see it pretty clearly around 50:15. haha, almost ran into while climbing the cliff.
I’ve always wondered if the post war of Fallout universe had factions that were communists as it was so common before the war to have communists spies.
Just noticed, the stepdad’s corpse has a broken rope nearby… and there’s a rope on the arch above. I don’t think the Liberator Drone killed him, I think it was the campers.
Oh Jesus. That’s sad. I hope he never found his son.
22:30 it should also be noted that there was a bunch of scouts that came to the camp on the day the bombs dropped. So it's likely that some stayed at the camp during the apocalypse, and were already at the camp when the activation signal played.
For the Scorched, it's possible that they just never reached the area. The camp is in the very south of Skyline Valley, an area that already doesn't have much (if any) Scorched, as well as no fissure sights for any Scorchbeasts to pop out from, unlike the rest of the map. Combined with the relative lack of civilization actually in the valley due to it being a nature park, it is actually quite possible for the campers to stay and avoid the worst of the Scorched Plague.
Edit: also, according to Ben's diary, the scouts were already going through the brainwashing, as well as the new batch from the bus after the bombs dropped and the DIA agents left. That means that no one was there to put them into "sleeper" mode (the state they would be when released to outside the camp and in public). So there should have already been a communist presence in the camp, and the automated reactivation phrase brought in those who were outside of the camp when the bombs fell
Every time I go to that camp, everyone besides the commander and sniper are the same NPC and after a few short minutes they start to respawn while I'm still in the camp. Hopefully they add more to this camp like a side mission or something.
The branch impaling the bus driver gave me vibes of a reference to Wash's death in Serenity (Firefly)
As soon as you said Stony Man I knew you were talking about Fallout 76. Stony Man is along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. I love that place!
That super mutant message seems smarter than the usual mutant
Some of the ones in FONV were far more intelligent.

Hey, loving you continuing with the FallOut Lore videos. Keep it up. I've been re-enjoying 76 now that it's a bit less of a totally empty wasteland.
Love the extra lengths you went to to have super mutant notes read as a super mutant. 10/10
"We can take out any communists we see"
*Liberty Prime loved that*
I started my adventure with Fallout 76 with Wastelanders, so I have always been a little bit more positive with it than others. It has some great region specific lore, at the very least. But this map expansion has been the first time it has felt like more than just co-op Fallout to me. And I hope we get more of this instead of expansions in the future.
41:50 I mean, people have trained Yao Guai before, like some traders in Fallout 3. Heck, there are even 1 or 2 communist bears (as their health bars say) in the camp
You know, that Plushie you looked at was the new Marshal Mallow Plushie, part of the new Season 17 Pioneer Scouts: Skyline Valley
I wonder if the impaled bus driver is a nod to the movie Serenity? "I am a leaf on the wind."
One i must give it to Bethesda is enviromental Story telling. AND Back with lore videos! missed those!
Oxhorn: Poor Ben....*as his brains have likely been blown out by Oxhorn just now*
The funny thing is, I actually have my Enclave themed C.A.M.P. just a walk away from Camp Liberty with an artillery cannon, and most of the time I end up bombing the place and clearing it out for XP and to complete daily challenges. Love that they added this spot.
As a fellow enclave player, the first time I came across this camp I said to myself "nothing a little napalm can't fix"
@@BLOODYMESSI4H Rock on, brother. God bless the Enclave.
Maybe I’m looking too into it but the raider corpse and cultist corpse in the wagon is a nice little Skyrim Easter egg from Bethesda.

In between S&SR's, my DevArt account is named 'TJ-Nissinen', you pretty much google it like that,
and it's there. There is dedicated Fallout gallery put right there on top of the main-page.
There are colorful pictures for the kids and reading material adults.

Wait... Are Super Mutants in 76?
Hooooow?! Took the master forever to figure it out, and the enclave and institution just expanded on the project.
I believe that pre war there had been experiments with fev, I'm not sure but I remember vaguely something bout it in a different game
Westek in Appalachia performed experiments on fev
It would be nice to do a SHORT on the story of Rufus the dog and his Ranger owner. No one has covered that yet. It is short but another sad tale in the Fallout universe. I was elated when I discovered what happened to them. It starts at East Mountain Lookout just east of Westek.
Awesome to see Oxhorn diving back into fallout 76 again. I love your content Ox keep up the great work. I love your story telling by the way.
11:15, if this is coming out from the trunk of the tree, wouldn't it more likely be a root rather than a branch?
But what about Thomas?! I'd like to know if he ever found out about his stepfather was looking for him.
Me, too. The not knowing sucks. Thus far, I’m assuming Thomas ended up much like Ben, who also lost his parents.
@@loraelstad8941 I had thought about Thomas growing up brainwashed like Ben, but I really hope not. The best part about knowing where Communists are is...well, you get the idea.
I think "The Eliminator" Obstacle Course in the camp might be a obscure reference to a Simpsons Episode where Bart and Lisa wind up in Military School, Unwillingly and Willingly respectively. The Eliminator in both mediums is a tightrope over a rather unpleasant landing.
So good to hear new lore from you :)
Um, did anyone else notice that the cloth or metal strips on the lookout tower to the left of the impailed ghoul are bits of an Canadian flag 🇨🇦,yeah it’s easy to catch that there’s remnants of an Canadian flagon that one lookout tower?
I actually really enjoy your FO76 Lore videos I’m glad you’re back to making them FO76’s world and lore is really interesting
Always love an Oxhorn lore/gameplay video!
Ox, maybe you could have the kids voice some characters in an upcoming lore vid? Might be a neat way to share your work with them and my guess is they would love it. Would give them a cool summer vacation memory.
The Scorched plague never penetrated Shenandoah. It generally seems to not spread beyond where the beasts roam, as they’re the source of transmission, so despite being a deadly plague it is geographically self limiting. Consider how close Pittsburg and Morgantown are, yet there is no crossing of Trogs or Scorched from one to the other. The apocalypse in the Fallout universe seems to have promoted extremely regionally distinct fauna, that sits high in the local ecosystems food chain. Scorchbeasts, Tunnelers, Trogs etc. of course along with apex predators who spread wide, like Deathclaws and Yao Guai.
So uh... Just to point this out about the whole branch in the bus thing. I think what it was supposed to be is that the bus crashed into the tree with a low-growing branch impaling the driver, and said branch got broken off during the collision and remained in the bus windshield thanks to being impaled in a man along with any broken glass anchoring it in place. Bethesda just messed up on the modeling.
Edit: Maybe the Fallout version of D&D could be called Geigers and Deathclaws?
It’s a shame these were made a “shoot on sight” faction. My character (and me irl) would likely have more in common with them than diehard American Capitalists so it would’ve been cool to talk with them instead
They should’ve treated these guys like Zao, where you can agree to help them or convince them you mean them no harm, or you can attack them if you so choose.
14:09 Liberty Prime is absolutely beaming with joy
Man what sad end to a camp
Wait, where was the communist leader in power armor? I’ve been exploring it lately before I found this video and everytime there’s a communist leader in power armor in the lodge. I released the yao guai and let it take out the camp for me including him
(11:03) I am a leaf on the wind, see how I...
A new lore video and a new crochet project to work on while I listen. It's going to be a good day.
You know starfield is truly bad when oxhorn makes a fallout 76 lore video lol
He did it before Starfield hit the shelves and he also doesn't do TES lore video's so your right Starfield isn't good but your reasoning is flawed.
An alternate reading of the sign near the broken Liberator robot could be the communists in the camp disapproving of machines replacing people. Thomas himself made it very clear that he felt strongly about that, so the sign could have been referring to the idea of automation pushing out humans as an equal failure to the ideology that brought ruin to the world.
I'm conflicted on how I feel about this location and lore. On one hand, it's kind of funny; it's like a vault-tec experiment but nobody involved really knew what communism was about, what they think communism is is from all the anti-communist propaganda, so it just led to people thinking "communism" is just opposite for "American"; like a game of telephone but nobody knows what the original message is. Like, they have the general idea and good enthusiasm, but they're just a little confused on their execution. There's also just the irony of trying to prove that "communists are brainwashing the youths", when they don't know what communism is aside from the American propaganda and they are American; in reality, Americans are brainwashing people, kidnapping people, and indoctrinating them. Anyway, back to my main thing. This could've been an opportunity to encounter a friendly faction of communists, actual communists that live on a commune and work for the better for each other, you work, you eat, yadda-yadda, maybe even a way of introducing the Free States refugees (there are some key figures we don't know the fates of).
TLDR version: This was some funny irony, but it was also a bit of a missed opportunity.
Did Emil Pagiliarulo write the bus crash and the scavenger hunt instructions?
I actually built my camp there by the water connected to the road, sometimes go over and take out the communists, I'd talk to them if they let me but I guess my vendors make me a capitalist
Operation Sleeping Giant is a reference to the Sleeping Giant Inn from Skyrim.
It seems much more likely that it’s a reference to the old quote about China being a “sickly, sleeping giant”.
Brilliant videos and I know that this is silly but the two guys in that cart at 3:43 Look like a skyrim Easter egg.
I think the bears are a nod to command and conquer red alert 😅
40:56 I see he missed the subliminial messaging. Like most people do.
Shame on you, Ox. You know you can’t make communism jokes unless everyone gets it.
Dark humor is like bread, not everyone gets it!💀
You missed the cave under the waterfall and the painter on a cliff. Both in or extremely near camp liberty.
I love all of these new videos but please tell me you haven’t forgotten about the complete story of Fallout 4 😢 no rush but I absolutely love what you’re doing with that series and I miss watching it

Nice video Oxhorn, a good job overall.
Just a reminder, some words will still get you demonitized . TH-cam likes to enforce speech, so careful in the future if you say words like "suicide" , apparently "self-deleted" the youtube-correct term to use to avoid problems.

50:20 I'm pretty sure there's a hidden cave under that waterfall _🤔🤔_
It sure is
Pioneer scouts. Back in ussr days my mom was a pioneer scout it is a soviet thing . The name of camp got my commie senses tingling
So the pioneer scouts of America in the fallout universe could have been a Soviet/Chinese communist organisation, or were genuinely infiltrated by actual Chinese communists. Sure the DIA might have employed government funding under the auspices of combating communism, but it could have been the communists took advantage of an unaware DIA to create a genuine communist sleeper cell. Or maybe the DIA was infiltrated already by the communists and it’s a strange shadow campaign to secretly build communist support using American assets. After all… it’s a perfect point of plausible deniablity… since you could be working at building genuinely formidable communist assets all to help ‘fight communism’. “Oh yeah, we will use these scouts to become Communist sleeper agents… but it’s okay… we will fix them after the experiment… just as soon as we get more funding.” The whole thing could be the Chinese taking advantage of the DIA to do their job for them.
The Disneyline, awesome 😂🙌🏼👏🏼

Thabk you Oxhorn for reassuring me i didn't lost any story. And thank you for all tge work
Watching these types of videos, I’ve learned that most tragedies seem to take place when complete disregard for human life, and intense greed or corruption takes root. This however, is one of the few truly stupid examples.
Like, these guys literally created the very thing they were trying to fight and DIDN’T bother to allocate funds or failsafe in the event they didn’t secure more funding. They really shot themselves in the foot with this one
I find it interesting as you talk about criticizing China and Communism. Because... well... we never really see it in Fallout directly, only if you read between the lines. Because the games all take place in America they treat Communism when it shows up as a Grass is Greener sort of idea. That everything people hate about America at the time is all just Capitalism and Communism probably doesn't have any of that. Much like... well real world people often do. The desire to go to Communism basically exists only for those who either never lived under it, or were the rich oligarchs profiting off it. But you ask say, a random Grandpa in Poland if he wants to go back to Communism who remembers what it was like... and you'll probably get a cold sweat from them at the very least.
Really the only criticism I can remember of Communism that might exist in Fallout as we've seen it is... if you read between the lines it's suggested that a lot of the strife Pre-War America was going through was engineered by China. Or at least some of it.
We know there was a massive epidemic going on, the "New Plague". We also know from Fallout 1 and West-Tek that they were developing the Pan-Immunity Virus that became FEV in a direct response to the rampant use of Biological Weapons that China was at least assumed to be doing. And we see the remains of a Chinese Agent in the Hoover Dam in New Vegas perhaps suggesting they were there looking to poison the reservoir or something similar.
But most of the Communism content we get is either passive spying efforts, or weapons development (like LOB Industries), or were kind of good will outreach programs looking to convert the locals (like Mama Dolce's in Fallout 3).
Otherwise we see a lot of the bleakness and brutality of Pre-War America. Hell one of the first things we see in the franchise is a recreation of a well known horrorific crime that was caught on news from Vietnam, with American Troops there in power armor. And it's hammered over our heads from the first game onwards just how evil the Pre-War Government was. From Mariposa and the experiments there, to the Enclave in 2, the Vault Zero system in Tactics, the Enclave again in 3, etc. In stories big and small in the setting.
But... I haven't seen a lot in the franchise other than those very faint guesswork breadcrumbs to really suggest that China was any better or worse. We just don't get to know. We presume Communism is wrong because well... real world history mostly. As I said, no one who lived under it outside of rich Oligarchs profiting off the system wants it back. But in Fallout? For all we know China really was some utopia of sorts that America ruined by invasion and sheer desperation.
I know its unrelated, but do we have a reason that the brotherhood seems to have an affinity for airports?
I think they have been doing air-ports and -bases only in Fallout 4 and the TV-show,
quite literally just Fallout 4 in games, since we don' really see the full-time occupation of
that Enclave airfield during FO3, but lots of mentions later in 4.
Any force, especially technological would prefer taking over airfields, lots of open space, big hangars,
most tools and specifically specialized tools that any place could possibly offer to you,
mostly made of corrosion resistant metals, you got cranes there for hoisting engines and wings.
You've got the tallest and strongest watch tower you'd want already in place in there,
watching over a large open area and since you got planes taking off and landing on runways,
those are the most reinforced up to code roadways there ever were, with reinforced foundations and
improved water-ditches, so those are not sprouting up grass from the cracks any time soon.
Pinocchio came before Disney
I just found an enclave random encounter in fallout 4
around 40:54 there's a brief flash of the spiral saying something
Getting strong Manchurian Candidate vibes from this lore. Hope the devs expand on it.
What is the DIA?
I'm pretty sure it's the fallout equivalent of the CIA
