That’s awesome to hear, I’m glad it helped 🙌🏼 When it comes to outdoor filming, it’s pretty much the same there are a few changes I tweak based on exposure, adding an ND filter, lens choice and/or cranking the shutter. I’ll create something that’ll help 💯 stay tuned!
Hey great video! I have a question on high frame rate 120 p settings . When I enable it, it shows AF is disabled and the subject becomes blurry while filming. How to fix this?
Great question! I think with the EOS R because it’s one of their older cameras, if I’m not mistaken, when you put in those settings it won’t have autofocus enabled. So essentially you have to manually focus your lens to ensure you’re tack sharp. I never really shoot in that frame rate so I could be completely off, but I think that’s the case with the R.
Im confused with my settings. I Want record a Music Video, i dont understand why people dont shoose 4k setting. What is the best setting for record a music video in 4k inside a discotec . What is the best setting? 4K all ? regards from Portugal. good Video !
Great question! If you want to shoot a music video & have 4k quality, you going to experience a pretty heavy crop on your image. Shoot in All-I and in 24fps (your editing timeline with be 24fps). Shoot all your real time shots in that frame rate & if you choose to have anything close to slow motion shoot in 30fps and slow it down to 80% to keep the frames in line with the sequence setting of 24fps. Hope that helps!

I should probably make a photo settings video to help! For me (in short) I make sure to switch over to the photo side of the R, I have the RAW photo setting engaged (for max flexibility in post) and adjust the focus settings on whether I have moving subjects (servo) or still/slow moving objects (one shot). I'll make a video on this soon for the photo community!
Honestly.. I don’t know why 😬 I think it has something to do with the sensor not getting a full read out at 4k, but if used for interviews it adds a nice compression to your lenses!
Nice video! Much needed, as I still use the R exclusively. Tried R5 and A7IV and R5 froze up all the time and the Sony was just cheap plastic that had disgusting images for video.

Saw a chap who used the swipe bar to flick between eye detect and spot focus (all others he disabled) and that seemed like a great use for the swiper.
