- Visit Utrecht Netherlands, in our virtual tour of this wonderful city - located 30 minutes away from Amsterdam. No narration, no music - just experiencing Utrecht, Holland as if you were really there in our walking tour travel video. Enjoy your armchair tour or treadmill walk with us as we virtual travel around the world.
We begin on Bezembrug, (the Broom Bridge,) along the Oudegracht canal, watching the boats at play and the lively cafes dotted along it's banks. We then walk across the Stadhuisbrug to Vismarkt (Fish Market,) and it's bustling independent shops and cafes overlooking the canal.
At Gaardbrug, we take a short circular walk along part of the canal that allows us to walk along it's lower banks, and then we head down Lijnmarkt to sample Utrecht's charming shops and restaurants. We finish our walk on Maartensburg with a view of the gothic Domtoren (Dom Tower.)
This video is ideal for Relaxation, Meditation, treadmill or exercise bike use.

It is as much the audio that is startling about this video as the imagery. It is so incredibly silent for a city! The most you hear is faint chatter and the occasional rattling bicycle and bicycle bells. Lovely!! 😍🚲😍❤️🚲🚲🚲😍❤️

Note, however, this is only a part of the old center. The other 95% of the city is not like this, although as a tourist the center is pretty much where you'll be anyway. Also they picked a quite part of the day and did not go to the more hectic places in the center either :) Still, it's true, a large part of the old center is quiet and not packed with cars like many other cities.
Ah there are so many nice places here on earth...

I'm only guessing but I reckon there are about 3.8 bicycles per citizen in the netherlands.

Especially in Utrecht. All the infrastructure is arranged around cramming in as many cyclists as possible, there's also some busy car intersections where cyclists have right of way to deliberately create traffic jams to discourage drivers from taking that route. The bicycles are to Utrecht like cows are to India.
