The boys have used backing tracks with background vocals, especially on the choruses and for harmonizing, since their heyday. Nothing is different now. I went to Vegas several times and was in the front row and could tell Brian was singing live. The other boys use backing tracks with vocals too - not just Brian, by the way. Perhaps Brian needs more vocal backing tracks to support his live voice at moments now (since it can be weak), but as long as the boys keep performing and making music for us fans I'll be more than happy. If you listen to him on the 2018 cruise, clearly singing live, you'll see he has made a lot of progress with his voice, even though at moments it is not as perfect as it once was. Let's not forget that he has a serious, real medical condition that he has to live with every moment of every day. I give him so much credit. And oh, none of the boys sound like they they did 20+ years ago. Enough of picking on Brian. He deserves more respect than that.
