R/S overworld sprites are based on G/S trainer classes, Lazy Freak possibly kept the same classes in the early stages and didn’t update overworld sprites as they changed trainer archetypes.
My favourite version of hex maniac is when someone made a comic of her dating the protag, while using the idea of the link story one with the haunter as a basis and made her into a shy goth girl who likes spoopy stuff and the haunter getting her into trouble, both the most wholesome and romantic comics I ever read. (Comic was "my girlfriend's a hex maniac)

Literally my favourite design, or at the very least female design in all of fiction. Always had a weakness for gothic/ mental women (the latter a problem I know) and she's a mix of them, literally perfect in my eyes.

If there was to be the equivalent of a Hex Maniac in regions other than Hoenn and Kalos, what would it be? I don't mean as in Ghost-type users, but like who you'd argue is the most popular trainer class of those regions. I think Galar's equivalent would be the female Poké Kid - she's got an adorable Eevee onesie and she even recently got added to Masters like the Hex Maniac did, being appropriately named Eve!
