    Now is the time to spray nut sedge.Timing it right before dormancy will greatly improve the root kill before the winter. I use Sulfosulfuron.

    Kris from Spring, TX. This video and a lot of your videos have been super helpful. I’ve been researching and sounds like Celcius and Certainty are the combination I need. Your breakdown of pre vs post emergent weeds makes sense. Thanks and please keep the info coming.

      You might also consider a new product that just came out called southpaw. I might be using it more for spot treating next year. Should be great for broadleaf weeds and sedges and some grassy weeds

      How can I find out the ratio for a spot sprayer if I wanted to mix both Celsius and Certainty together for spot spraying weeds that pop up after following your pre-emergent plan of Resolute and Specticle Flow. I just retired and I am going to take over my two acres of lawn care and do it myself. Thank you and I have been following you for a couple of years and appreciate the information very much!

    Don't use a pre-emergent if you plan on seeding your cool season lawn in the Fall though. The only one that I know of that can be used and still allow germination is Tenacity (Mesotrione).

    Enjoyed the video and appreciate all the details. On broadleaf weeds in a Georgia bermuda lawn, would you use different products at different points in the year, or is Manor the one you recommend in both warmer and cooler temps? I think I damaged my grass once with 2-4D in summer temp, so have been nervous about when I can use the broadleaf products and would like to better understand options for different times of the year.

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on what I'm trying to accomplish. I don't like using manor too much. I might use it twice per year. You need to make sure you're within the annual limits on the label. Sometimes Manor mixed with change up is a good combination for broadleaf weeds at a fairly cheap price. I don't use 2-4d in the summer. Changeup is a good alternative

    Cost aside, why wouldn't one just apply Specticle Flo in both Spring and Fall as an all-year pre emergent program? It's been proven to be far more effective and is labeled for many more broadleaf summer weeds than Prodiamine. The only logical reason I can think of would be to try and prevent weeds becoming tolerant or resistant to the active ingredient in Specticle Flo. Thanks for the great Videos!

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @elian222 I do that often and so do many other people. Personally, I plan to continue using it in the fall but would like to try other options in the spring that might be a little less harsh on the rooting

(1) one of the suggestion is to mix the pre and post emergent (i have prodiamine, celsius and sedgehammer), the pre emergent needs to be watered in but the post does not how do i go about that? do i have to wait some period of time before watering?... (2) is now (early October a good time to put down pre emergent is south Florida (palm beach county)?

    split app of specticle at 3 oz / acre each app okay for north Texas? first app in Septemebr and October and second app of course in November and December. Also, do you add surf. to your tank mix if you have pre and post in there? I've been advised not to do that.

    • @lawncarelife
      @lawncarelife  2 หลายเดือนก่อน
