I do layering so often - I just love the look. And, yes, indeed, I use cardigans etc.all the time. In fact, the summer options are my favorite, but even any buttoned blouse can be used as a layering piece.

I love a peplum!! A wrap style with a peplum is so flattering. It’s a versatile style too. Casual, feminine or polished and classy.

Great ideas pretty ladies! Another one I use all the time is to put a vest on top of the outfit. Either a long vest or even just one that gives some definition to the top but is loose around the waist area. Or, another illusion is a long cardi with a Cami underneath, in the the same color. This gives a monochromatic look and elongates the torso. Just my 02 cents❤

This was a great video, thank you! I have just recently de-frumped my closet, and am trying to re-focus my wardrobe into a more fashionable one. I am 55 yrs old, and have 15 pounds left to go on my weight loss plan. I don't want to buy too many things until I am done losing weight, but it's taking a long time so I am supplementing pieces here and there until I'm done. I have a large tummy poof that I want to try to minimize, but without looking frumpy. These suggestions are great. I am going to get a few tops for the summer that will help when I go out, and save the older shirts for home.
I'd love a video on belts and how to wear them. I have a long-sleeve shift dress that I put one of my old belts around my waist and it made a huge difference. The belt is old and worn, so I want a new one, but I don't know what is appropriate for my age and still fashionable. Amazon search gives me so many choices! There are leather, there are elastic, there are so many buckles...sigh. The dress is solid black, so the color options are endless.
Maybe go to a thrift shop, wearing your dress, and try on several options to see what you prefer?
Loved this & really glad I found it at the right time while I’m feeling so sad & down. I turned 50 last October, hit hard with menopause while already having chronic health issues/ disabilities. I wish I could slice my enormous stomach off my body, I carry a huge beer belly the size of overdue triplets!!!
I’ve been sober for over 5yrs & I’ve got no chance of losing any weight, it looks like it doesn’t belong to me it’s a separate entity which is a horrible forever reminder of my alcoholism. Thank you for real life information and explaining the methods behind the madness 💐

Ladies, be careful with Peplum and especially Babydoll blouses. It can more often then not cause us to look pregnant…😬
You are absolutely correct. It really depends on the length of the peplum or babydoll top and how much you are concealing. They can work for you or against you.

Great video, Ladies!!!! My tummy area is my big bugaboo. I'm a very tiny person except for Jabba the Gut which appeared after 30+ abdominal surgeries, the last one necessitating the removal of my stomach muscles. I DID get the beautiful yellow-striped buttondown from Loft that Kelly modeled a few times. Love it. I'm about to go snag a few more of these and I'm big on the lightweight long sweaters in spring/summer provided they're not TOO long so they don't overwhelm my barely 5' height. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! 💖

All I used to wear was tops like these and longer length tops , it's only a few years ago I've realised I can wear things tucked in and shorter tops and look ok.

Just want to add I tend to do this and I think others might do it as well... that is, to get the flowy top in a size larger than necessary. Then, I feel covered but swamped. It is not an attractive look and makes me look bigger than what I am.

My name is Kelly also and as a (very thin) kid my brothers would make up rhymes to tease me, think smelly, jelly, belly… you get the picture!
