I feel like Hurricane Pike over Hex would have been so good against both Bristle and Witch Doctor (assuming the attack range stacks) but even just being able to force out of the range of quills and death ward would have been super helpful.

i think i like anime better than manga even if it is a slideshow, just because it feels like a richer experience to have colors and sound (i dont have anything against reading, ill happily read subtitles, but i like hearing VAs even if I dont understand them, but i also like music and sound effects). I have a much harder time getting into the world just seeing mostly black and white pages.
Now let me plug Monogatari Series again as its a great example of a novel series, anime, and manga, that are all quite different and heavily play to the strengths of each format. The original novels were called "unadaptable to animation", and the adaptation used that to take full advantage of creative liberties in artistic expression, cinematography, and what else.
