I've used Dungeon Scrawl several times and the only caveat I have with an otherwise extremely useful tool is that secret doors can be a bit more difficult to work with, if you want to import the maps into a VTT. Obviously, these maps, as the maps you showed, are great as GM maps, but the secret doors are very obvious. I don't know if there's an easier way, and I've done similar in other tools, like Dungeondraft, but I draw the maps without the secret doors and passageways first (so you get regular walls everywhere). Then I export it and put in/draw the secret stuff. I then usually screenshot the specific secret areas (you could export the whole map again and cut out those areas afterwards too) and put them in as regular files/tokens in my VTT, on the GM layer/as hidden tokens over the areas they belong to, to then reveal them when the player's find them. Same goes with traps (like pits etc.). I'd love to know if there's an easier way! 😅
Very good tutorial. Well done. I've used Dungeon Scrawl a few times and I certainly learned quite a bit with this tutorial.
I love this tool but your walkthrough was very helpful
Glad to hear it!

Those are fair points! I don't use VTTs in an "exploration" sense. So I haven't had those issues, maybe someone will comment with a good solution.
I stumbled across this tool maybe a couple-three years ago? Forgot about. Great reminder and mini-tutorial. I imagine I will be using it soon.
It's a great tool!
Definitely will be using this tool...thanks for showing.
Dungeon Scrawl is amazing!
Yeah, its a useful tool!
Good tips, thanks!
