All genuine football fans are looking at yesterday as great entertainment. Only the media and non football fans see anything wrong with it. Even the police crave this sort of thing.
Funnily enough they’re talking about the trouble in that corner but not the trouble in the other corner which was quite simply just Albion fans losing their heads and fighting police
Can’t blame west brom for tickets easy to get 2 tickets off a friend of a friend happens all the time at every sold out match all over the country we’re talking 2 tickets!
@@fatherjohn2646 in what way? Even if they sold them to Sandwellites who then sold them at double the price to Wolves fans surely it was the clubs responsibility for selling to the mindless idiots in the first place?
Overreaction by all, caused by a couple of fans getting in the wrong side the police and the stewards should be trained to nip these situations in the bud
No risk supporters from Wolves - all known away season ticket holders or home season ticket holders - sold out in 2 hours. 1 fan sat in home area sparked a load of over-reaction from Albion fans. Albion couldnt sell out so late on allowed every season ticket holder to bring a friend. Asking for trouble. Also the liquidator doesn't help - banned at Wolves not at WBA. Beer served to WBA fans not Wolves. All contributed to a bit of handbags. No one seriously hurt except one silly old Albion fan.
A single fan was identified by Albion fans as Wolves fans and dozens of Albion fans attacked them. Then the Albion fans turned on the police. In the opposite corner, Albion fans spent the afternoon throwing bottles and coins at Wolves players and then at Wolves fans. A couple of the dozens bottles thrown at the Wolves fans were thrown back. 99% of the blame is down to Albion fans. Albion should play their next 5 games with the home fans' (and hospitality) sections closed and the only spectators allowed in should be season ticket holders from the away club (to prevent away section tickets getting in the hands of home fans).
The pending purchase by Aldi will see football at the Hawthorns a thing of the past, and such scenes will be replaced with polite and calm members of society happily purchasing their weekly food items! RIP Sandwell Town
@@wwfc9167 When the National Lottery was first launched I was hoping to win about £5 million because WBA was only worth about £2 million at the time. I was going to buy it, sell off the players and put something like a Lidl or Ikea on the site.
Define “getting at” the Albion fans spilled onto the pitch and had the game stopped for 30 minutes … does that constitute “getting at” 1,2 wolves fans …. Albion fans are an absolute disgrace
This game was always going to be very edgy. They hadn’t met in front of supporters for 12 years. Even the 11:45 kick off was pointless. Many pubs opened early. When you strip it back some lads like a ruck. As long as they aren’t carrying knives like cowards and only lads who want to fight do then they will. We are an aggressive animal and in our DNA is the age old desire to come out on top. You can’t just totally subdue that. It’s engrained in our evolution. When we are in a pack those feelings come to the top. Anyone should be able to go to the football I agree but I wouldn’t take a kid to a local derby, you’ve just got to be smart and wait for Albion v Hull 😂
I complete agree, Wolves fans should not have purchased tickets in the Albion end, however, the number of Albion fans that were able to get to the area, many of whom ran from the other side of the pitch was embarrassing, not a good advert for the game and my sympathies to any families that were caught up in it, the problems in the opposite corner were nothing to do with Wolves fans, the guy with the bad head should not have been pushing and shoving the police line, got what he deserved, to be honest I thought the Police did a fantastic job, absolute no problems getting to, or leaving the away end on the day. Good atmosphere, plenty of banter flying as you would expect, the actions of the few should not detract from what was a great local derby !
He’s talking nonsense he’s acting like there wasn’t a pitch invasion and there wasn’t a small group of wolves fans trying to get at West Brom fans during the crowd trouble or that there wasn’t crowd trouble after the game
Whoever sold the tickets to wolves fans are wrong . They deprived a fellow baggies fan a ticket to see their team at home to watch the Black Country derby . Don’t care if their mates they put a wolves fan ist over their own fans right to see that game
What a load of rubbish. First there were no Wolves fans throwing anything. Why would we throw stuff at Tommy Doyle and Neto? Oh yes the other part of the pitch where Albion fans tried to storm on the pitch to get at the Wolves fans. They were the complete opposite end to the trouble. All excuses made , because your fans Mr Goldberg could not control themselves.
Nothing but cowards. The whole stand trying to attack a couple of fans. This happens a lot nowadays. If you don't like them in your end then just go and tell a steward.
Away fans sneaking in to home sections happens at every game week in and week out. The difference here was that they celebrated the second goal rather than ‘sit on their hands’ as it were. Sorry but the Albion fans should have had more restraint and allowed the stewards to deal with it by ejecting them
Why '!!!! It's football its what they do they're very passionate and give Their Hearts and Souls to their football club its called loyalty '!!!!!! Having fun
This was an overreaction but tbh you shouldn't be taking your kids to these kind of matches, these are the games where the hooligans come out, prepare for them etc, it is sad to see but its just facts. I went to watch Wolves vs Stoke City when we were in the Championship and lost 4-2 and came out the stadium to riots, unfortunately, you cant stop it and after that incident I thought, not going to a proper derby game if that's what happens.
Ask a tin pot club to stage a large fixture and the result is what we witnessed Sunday!! The whole visitors allocation stratergy was poorly considered by both West Bromwich Albion and West Milands police! Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt by minimising ticket numbers to the bigger club who clearly have a much larger fan base! Another point to consider is when a very tiny isolated incident in one stand leads to encroachment onto the pitch by what can only be described as drunken grown woman with the intention to incite violonce further surely has to reflect on the area in which the fixture was being staged and clearly becomes a society problem and not entirely football.
Storm in a tea cup stuff. The super hard Steptoes clearly need a few hundred of their Sandwell inbreds to take on a couple of Wolves fans. Should be an interesting derby game when it's their turn to visit Wolves.
Albions Fault Albion Stewards & WMP more Intrested In watching the game. They should have got their house In order when bottles were being thrown at Wanderers players before Cunha's goal!
Until it's investigated noone can say how the tickets got into the wrong hands so to speak. Could have been theft, trespass etc. Also it would be wrong to assume the club were at fault for selling tickets to idiots. How are you supposed to work out who's an idiot? 25%of football fans at least are idiots.
Gotta put a lot of blame onto the West Brom fans selling tickets to people desperate to watch the match. I know a few people who wouldn’t take their kids to the game but would take a friend who’s a wolves fan 🤷🏻♂️ If you do that you just gotta be silent for all the goals and not give a hint of being wolves fan
He said a mouthful with one word... tribalism. The media stoke it. The government stoke it. Our very culture stokes it (like football). And it causes immense harm to us as a society. You look at all the anti "foreigner" rhetoric and see it. It's why the EDL was created by football fans. The Sun vs The Mirror... tribalism. We need a true independant press. A new press commission is required that investigates political bias and has serious teeth to eliminate it from our sub-culture. Until it happens... expect more of the same, and expect it to worsen.

Just see the usual English fans jumping up & down waving arms singing "oo are ya" In Europe ultras are properly separated, but us ordinary fans can sit together safely & without rival fans screaming at security to kick them out. Not perfect but we have sat with home fans at Rijeka, Osijek even Dinamo no problems. Hooligans only fight other hooligans but riot police really keep control these dsys
