    Thanks for this. I got the Georgia XXL (we like the smoking tower for fish). It's nice to find a channel that isn't US based (I'm in the Netherlands).

    I think a lot of people would argue you need a smoker with walls that are a quarter inch thick rather than just 3 mm. Yes you can smoke with 3mm (I have one) but you're gonna be wishing you had a quarter inch.

      Hey I agree with you! The thicker the metal the easier it is to keep temp. Sadly metal prices are so high that a decent offset smoker with quarter inch metal costs a lot!

    hello, Can I use my offset smoker as a regular barbecue grill, meaning, put fire / charcoal on the "bigger" side where the meat is???

    • @PitmasterOntheWay
      @PitmasterOntheWay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! In many cases you can do it, you can use the cooking chamber as a normal grill. I would recommend u to read the owners manual to be 100% sure. In my particular case I don't like to do it. Even though the metal withstand the heat, it is very difficult to clean the ash afterwards.

    All great advice. Here in Texas getting wood is not a problem. Facebook Marketplace is your friend.

      Thanks man! I gotta say I am a bit jealous now 😅 this year has been extremely difficult to get firewood (I am not even asking for much, I'm just looking for Oak). Hopefully I get some soon! Wish it was as easy as in Texas!

    I’m looking into the offset smoker you have, how does the smoker preform? I would really love to see a review on it. Showing hotspots and other info that you would think would be helpful. Thanks

      Hi! Thanks for the feedback 🙂. The brand name is "Mustang", it is a local brand here in Finland. If you search it with these words you can find it on google: Offset savustin Georgia Mustang. Unfortunately the website language is Finnish, but google translator can help with it 👍. Cheers!

    • @arcanaa8696

      It really isn't. I have the XXL Georgia from Mustang (a brand of the company Tammer) and pieces are heavy and sturdy AF, I wondered if I would be able to construct it at one point. It was also well thought out when it came to construction and instructions to do so.
      Shows you cannot tell from a video.

      Haha well actually I have used it quiet much but I try to keep it in good shape. Although I have to say my firebox starts to be in such bad shape that regardless of the maintenance I cannot keep it "good looking"
