Here to give thanks to Reggie as he retires.
Yeah.
Yeah
Dude was an engaging presenter
I'm about kicking ass, taking names, and were about making games. CLASSIC.

He announced his retirement today. It's the end of an era.
8:00 *listen to the guy say “yeah”* this was the first dude to realize how awesome Reggie is. Please find this man and give him an award.
Reggie said "ass"... Nintendo used to be okay with the word ass? Bring back this Nintendo please.
Oh they delivered...
Nintendo is back!

2004 was a wild time
It’s not Nintendo. Reggie is the one with the personality, and he still retains that personality for the most part. Reggie is one of the best marketers of the 21st century.
Thank you for everything Reggie.
1:35 is the Reggie moment that you were looking for.
Kind of sad to see this now.
I know right, first time I've actually watched this, seeing it now is sad as fuck, he's been running the show for 15 years.
I prefer nostalgia :)
Aaron Philips Judging by your tone you don’t know that Reggie retired?
cloudk Nope, I was aware yesterday.
Per Google, “nostalgia,”
A sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
@@aaronphilips2780 nostalgia is poison.
My name is Reggie I'm about kicking ass I'm about taking names and we're about making game s
Why isn't nintendo like this anymore.
Big N is Back
E3 will never be the same, it still has some magic left in it. But these slightly amateurish displays of borderline cheesy dialogue and early 2000's presentation quality were just filled with so much charm and magic, it was a special time.
Here after his retirement, we’ll miss you. Our bodies will always be Reggie
Here after reading Reggie’s book “Disrupting the Game”. Good read about his time at Nintendo and he also talks about his early life and other jobs that led up to him getting recruited at Nintendo. The man was the son of immigrants and grew up poor, really worked his way up. Also a good book for anyone interested in business as he offers a lot of tips and anecdotes. Reggie really has a passion for games and it shows. I would highly recommend giving it a read/checking out the audiobook. Big ups and respect to a Legend!!!
Same lol. Great book!
This is when our Lord and Savior Reggie was created.
That resident evil trailer is awesome
I remember watching this on livestream and thinking this man would mark an important era of Nintendo. I hope he’s enjoying his retirement playing lots of good games.
Resident evil 4 is a fucking masterpiece
Here’s to you Reggie
Thank you
Reggie is really the guy that brought me back to Nintendo. So I’m glad to have seen and experienced him when I could.
Dude Oh the golden years!! Such a legend, have no words that can say how much appreciated I am to have Reggie and Satoru Iwata (RIP) give me the most amazing years of my childhood.
I'm watching this in June 1996
Hush
k
I’m watching this in July 2018
How’s the Nintendo 64?
Who's here after Nintendo announced that Reggie was retiring?
Me, my boi!! It's rlly sad...
I came back to see this after seeing Reggie retire
We all loved reggie when he said
"Im about kicking ass, taking names and were about making names"
Those were the good days...
im going to miss him
This feels like the Apple turnaround when Steve Jobs came back with the company. I felt like Satoru Iwata
passing was also like Steve Jobs passing. Luckily, Mr. Iwata's legacy has lived on and given Nintendo hope for the future of console and handheld gaming. Nintendo is so a wonderful company.
Reggie's first appearance almost feels the same as his last
I’m gonna miss you, Reggie....
It has been now 10 years since 2004 when Reggie Fils-Aime and Satoru Iwata first appeared to work on Nintendo and 10 years in 2014 I'm so glad that there're still there! =D
Don't make me cry
aaaaaaaAAAAAAA
This didn't aged well
I was 5 years old when this E3 was going on. Now that i'm 23 I can say this.
I miss this version of Nintendo. In fact I miss the 6th gen in general. I grew up with GBA SP, GameCube, and PS1/2. I also miss CRT TVs as my family had both the bubble versions and flat screen versions of CRT TVs. I grew up with a princess CRT TV with DVD and VHS attachment.and had it until 2010 when the whole house had upgraded to flat screens. Anyway I miss the 6th gen it was a Middle ground of modern and retro. Retro ideals ( DLC that actually added to the game instead of completing the game, no constant updates , no updating the consoles, no predatory microtransactions or lote boxes, and fantastic games that released back to back in a single year or 2 and not taking 10 + years to produce " looking at you GTA5 and Skyrim and your constant ports to next gen consoles" and overall variety from AAA developers.)
Miss this era of gaming.
"He with the best games, wins."
Truer words have never been spoken for this industry. I just hope Nintendo can make more games so the Wii U survives.
Flare Vortex a new hero has risen from the ashes.
Flare Vortex Wii u is dead. Buy a switch
5 Years Ago his comment was from several years ago
Average Joe so true. Tradition is tending the flame, not worshipping the ashes. Innovation, while maintaining the core. Nintendo as a company is the embodiment of this concept.
1:34 the legend is born
Reggie is fucking awesome.
I remember seeing this from a dvd with e3 recap videos that was sold with a magazine...i laughed so hard at the part he was saying "we're not this and that company"...us old school gamers know pretty well what kind of company you were in the past...and now look at the company they are now....
Reggie talks so much sense. Love the guy. Love his trash-talking of Microsoft and Sony as well.
Reggie ... taking dem names ... will be missed 🖤
Hard to imagine now talking about figures and numbers, any games company would be booed off stage.
Absolute legend. Thank you for everything Mr. Fils-Amie, all the best for you on your well deserved retirement.
im old as crap. i vividly remember this E3.
"Always been that way, always will"
Maybe that's where Microsoft went wrong with the heavy emphasis on TV watching this year...
I love how the first part is not alot of talking just down to the games
18 years later that Resident Evil 4 Trailer still hits hard.
Still does. I've only played the remake but WOW.
We will miss you Reggie...thanks for the 15 years of happiness (even though they weren't all as great)
10:17
They did indeed have momentum. We got the ds and wii just a few years later
Still the best Resident Evil trailer.
Reggie used to be more agressive in his first years, "kicking ass" haha
Reggie is the most badass guy in the gaming industry. He was the BEST. My body will always be ready
Man I miss E3 being like this what a fun time it was every spring watching these
The way he just walks on stage and instantly becomes a legend is insane
5:20 :) nobody knew what that game was till resident evil 4 flashed on screen haha brilliant
I'm reading Reggie's book and he mentions this speech in chapter 10. He wasn't kidding when he said he was aggressive in this presentation!
Came here after discovering about Reggie's retirement. Nostalgic :')
"It's all about the game."
-Sgt. Ernie Calhoun
i still dont get how the gamecube sold so bad compared to the Wii when we talk about games
Souzzz Charles there was too much competition, with PlayStation 2 dominating and Xbox joining the fray
Everybody who bought a 360 or ps3 also had a wii pretty much. It was the only nintendo console I ever owned aside from hand helds. It was huge and cheap. 250 bucks compared to 599 for ps3
Just came back to watch this, as reggie singlehandedly saved the company. I also miss the small comedy skits he always did, and other character he added for the company. Sad to see all of that care for the fanbase is gone.
Thank you Reggie.
You made my childhood.
Here is a personal time stamp. 1:36
No one can fill your shoes sir. Maybe your life be fulfilled as much as you and Nintendo fulfilled ours. Godspeed Reggienator.
It's funny that what Nintendo did in 2004 they need to repeat in 2014. Here's to hoping they have an epic E3 this year.
It's not what happens...
Back in 2014 when people were hopeful. Now we're sitting here with Mr. Iwata gone and Reggie retired. What are we going to do...
And so a legend was born...
Thanks for all of the memes over the years Reggie. We will miss you
This was easily Nintendo's best E3 ever. Metroid, RE4, DS, Zelda. If they had shown a new Mario I would have shit myself.
Godspeed Captain Reginald. Thanks for the incredible memories.
"He with the most games wins" ~ Reggie
Take that Microsoft
Who’s watching after finding out Reggie’s Retiring
Me!😭 It's a bittersweet experience. I'm happy he is in good health and that he is retiring at his peak. He will be spending more time with his family and friends and honestly I'm glad he is. Reggie we will miss you my friend.
Reggie is a god among mortals, gamers, and game companies alike. He meant it when he said he was about kickin' ass. Because he did. And he won't stop kickin' them
The last great Nintendo E3 Presentation! EPIC!
2014
After all these years Reggie still scares me. His face looks like a cube at times. Thanks for the clips here.
Where it all began
A Legend was born on this day. Reggie Fils-Aime Let Us Not Forget
Reggie is the proud Prince of nintendo
Reggie taking shots at Sony and Microsoft. Love it.
Thank you Reggie!
6:54 why did they take Luis´s mustache off in the final version of RE 4? looked cool.
They were talking about tie ratio meaning software units sold per hardware unit. What I found interesting is the forecast of 55 million units in that generation when it eventually reached about 200M units, of which 150 was as you told the PS2 and of which 50 were sold after the next generation began.
And with that, a legend was born.
Reggie changed things I’m gonna miss him a lot
We will miss you reggie. Have fun retiring
I believe Reggie almost became president of MTV during the 90s. Went to VH1 instead! Awesome!
This was when Nintendo was still hardcore...
Donald Trump based his presidential campaign on this press conference
David Curry Except this press conference is actually cool.
@Gavin Montgomery, #MAGA.
Richter Matthias salt
The media wants you to Hate Trump.
DrJams how is the media trying to make you hate Muslims and Trump at the same time?
Thank you Reggie you will be missed
Funny how he hints at the Wii(Nintendo Revolution) in this. Talking about casual gamers also being important to them like hardcore. Did anyone ever see it coming at the time?
Reggie deserves it for all he has done
Aaaavery cool
I wish the Nintendo of today was the Nintendo of 2004....
Watching in 2017. A few months away from the Nintendo Switch and Breath of the wild!!!
everything hes said is so true. this E3 is so much better than the E3 we had in 2011. lets hope 2012 is good
"My name is Reggie Im about kicking ass i'm about taking names and we're here to make games." - Reggie san 2004
The MAN, the MYTH, the BODYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
15 years later he's about taking brakes sadly
Anyone else crying? Long live the king. Thanks for everything, Reggie
Why do I keep watching this on 2019?
Because it's incredible
Kicking ass and taking names since 2004.
"My body is ready!" -Reggie Fils-Aime
I dear you to come out like that again Reggie. You won't do it. You won't do it.
He looked like he was reading some script when he said his iconic quote lol
What? My body is Reggie?
work1907 yep. not professional like marlon brando
+xXTheDiamondNinjaXx no, his"my name his Reggie...." self introduction.
+Israel Alvarado why Marlon Brando?
work1907 Marlon is known not to read scripts but cue cards during quick acting.
When Nintendo cared about Metroid and Star Fox
I'm glad the console wars era kinda faded the more these companies started intergrating accessibility and collaboration... but man do I miss the competitive atmosphere that challenged them to be better. Now every bad decision, every studio closed or games cancelled is just accepted as industry flaw. Back then, if Xbox would close Tango and Arkane Austin, Nintendo and Sony would be at the frontlines calling them out for it. Now they just sit there in silence. No beef, no PR shade, no consequences. Just another day in our 'artistic' industry.
1:36 here you go
Very complete. Thanks for the confirmation.
This presentation kicks ass
