I am in my 8th decade in London and The CH that I have just bought on EBAY for £3 or $3.50 is "The Very Best Of The Moody Blues". Isn't Life Strange? lol
53? No, Youngsters,please:) I am in my 8th decade in London and The CH that I have just bought on EBAY for £3 or $3.50 is "The Very Best Of The Moody Blues". Isn't Life Strange? lol
fell in love with the Moodies at the age of 10 and 56 years later im still a hardcore fan. 16 studio albums, numerous solo albums and over 200 songs. their music is deep lyrically and instrumentally. they also have 7 concept albums in a row which should be listened to end to end for the whole story
Love the Moody Blues. This is one of the greatest classical rock songs. Listen to the full album version. It's longer and has a poem (and a gong) at the end. It makes the song better, and, for me, more poignant
The Moody Blues one of the first Progressive rock bands the song released in 1967 the song was inspired by a x girlfriend giving the lead singer a set of white satin sheets this is the album version the track is followed by a spoken poem written and spoken by the drummer Late Lament Breathe deep the gathering gloom Watch lights fade from every room Bedsitter people look back and lament Another day's useless energy spent Impassioned lovers wrestle as one; Lonely man cries for love and has none; New mother picks up and suckles her son; Senior citizens wish they were young Cold-hearted orb that rules the night Removes the colours from our sight Red is grey is yellow white But we decide which is right And which is an illusion
One of the great bands to come out of the UK!, around 80 million albums sold!,don't know why the copyright as iv'e seen this played by other reactors without any problems!.

Late Lament
Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one;
Lonely man cries for love and has none;
New mother picks up and suckles her son;
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey is yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion
Have you done proco harem whiter shade of pale live in Denmark? Can't remember lol
The London Symphonic Orchestra backs them on all of their albums but only in concert on rare occasions.
One of the best groups of all time.

Brilliant song. you should react to Elton John That's Why They Call it The Blues, 👍👍
Awesome! Could u react to Ballroom Blitz by Sweet?
It is always better to hear the original recording of any song rather than a live version! A lot of studio sound can't be recreated on stage
