I am super excited about this game. I can't have enough meaty 2 player experiences that can be played under an hour. Usually we get these super light games so crunchy ones like this are a very welcome addition! Thanks for the great review
Not sure this was covered, but I love that tiles may be overlaid to enable planned and sudden color reroutings (as in other games like passtally) to align with incoming trucks. The truck manipulation can be very harsh between players but is a constant threat, which mitigates unexpected disruption. Cool game and very much looking forward to my copy.
Pipeline focuses heavily on the economic side with the tile laying used to create efficient refinement systems for the oil in the game. This game nixes the economic aspect of Pipeline and is more of a timing/logistics game with tile laying.
Huh... good catch. The intro seems to have it, but not so much from my quick scan of the review at the end. I must have had the tripod leaning against the table!
Pipeline is one of my favorite games, but my family doesn't necessarily like the "heavy economic" theme of Pipeline. Hoping CC can give me the feel of the network building and can hit the table more often.
Having played both I'd guess you'll definitely get the network building part of it. Probably more than Pipeline. They are very different games though. I think Curious Cargo hurts my brain more though.

There really is no economic dimension in this game at all
I've always meant to ask, what is your outro music? I love it.

@@DriveThruReview marvellous, thanks Joel.
Thanks for the review! Throughout the video I was wondering why do you have 2 copies of The Mind?
That other one is "The Mind: Extreme"... like a kind of advanced version of The Mind.
@@DriveThruReview Thanks! Is it better than regular The Mind?
Thanks
Thanks for the review Joel! The video was little bit shaky, tripod issues?

Always enjoy your reviews even if the game is not my jam.
Thanks Jonathan.
