- British fashion icon Dame Zandra Rhodes was diagnosed with Bile Duct cancer in 2020 and was only given six months to live. However, 5 years on Zandra is as positive as ever and is pairing up with Vanity Fair Royal Correspondent Katie Nicholls. Katie in 2023 who was also diagnosed with the same cancer. They join Lorraine alongside our own Dr Hilary to reveal how they're backing the ‘Rethink Liver Cancer’ campaign to ensure people get faster, more equal access to treatment and tackle the lack of understanding.

I worry that doctors are too invested in blood tests. I find many ignore what the patients are telling them because the blood tests are normal. I have a thyroid fluctuating between hypo and hyper for well over a year now. Yet I had reported a feeling that something was going on 18 months before the blood tests showed anything. Plus, more recently, I knew I was going into a Crohns’ flare, but doctors ignored me because the CRP blood test was normal and yet within 2 weeks I was in hospital being pumped full of steroids and antibiotics. If it doesn’t feel right to you, keep pushing!
