You continued to move foward while lifting with the inverted. You stopped and let the snow empty out with the hybrid. Apples to oranges.

Be nice if the hybrid snow thrower could double as a flail mower/wood chipper etc.

2/3rds the cost of a front with hydraulic rotation. 18 pto hp to work with the LX2610

Great video! Can you do a test video of these with 1 meter of snow?

One draw back to the inverted pull type snowblowers, is the tractor has to be able to drive through the snow first. So if you can find any tractor that will drive through 1 meter of snow without getting stuck, then a matched inverted snowblower will clear it. These inverted snowblowers were primarly designed for commercial businesses that do snow removal from residential driveways. It was a matter of speed and effectiveness.

@@bwillan I think people overstate deep snow as being an issue with inverted blowers. I use a classic-style inverted to clear snow off of about 5000' of gravel driveway, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Sure beats driving backwards, or dealing with the heavy frozen berms left by a back blade. Once every 3-4 years the snow will drift the road in deep enough that I cannot clear a section, but even that could be avoided if I got on it quicker after the snow falls, or if i had a front end loader. No solution is perfect. I think for folks with compact or garden tractors on their own urban or suburban property a traditional rear facing (or front mount) blower are more practical. For the commercial guys and for rural properties with lots of road, you can't beat an inverted, and their limitations can be worked around.

Amazing video!! It's kind of hard to tell but it almost seems like the old inverted scraped a bit better vs the new hybrid? Is that just the camera angle or did you find that was the case when you did it? Thank you for all your amazing videos Chris!

both do an excellent job, over multiple uses the hybrid style will out scrape the old inverted

Would be nice to hear a few brands of blowers to know who to compare

I have an LX 3310 with a 2963 front blower. Could I also add a rear hybrid blower to the tractor. This may seem like overkill but I have a plan in mind. I assume I could have both running at the same time off the PTO.

What would your plan be for adding a second inverted snowblower. I know many people with front mount mid pto blowers that also use a rear scraper blade on the 3 pt hitch. That combination makes a very effictive snow clearing combination.
