    I highly recommend a video focusing solely on Open Delta transformer banks. Great vid.

    Great video Romero. Maybe in a subsequent video you can discuss what is happening to flux in the core while the CT is saturated and why. Would also be nice to relate to power transformers and inrush during their initial energization. Again, great video - I am going to subscribe!!!

      You got any advice to where to find more of such practical videos?

      Thanks John! Will consider it for a future video.

    Can you pls also discuss how to size and specify a current transformer and potential transformer?

    Good explanation. Just bought udemy subscription but sad to see your courses aren't a part of it. I really wish to learn from you as we use a lot of SEL relays in our power plant. But the fee structure is slightly high for India. Hopefully that would be addressed some day.

      Hi Ajmeri! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over what’s included in Udemy’s subscriptions. You can, however, sign up for our monthly subscription here:

    Thanks for the easy to understand explanation! Are you familiar with class PX or PS CTs which (i guess) are commonly used for transmission line protection relays? In what case would we see benefits to specify class PX/PS CTs instead of class 5P10 or 5P20 (as per IEC standard)?

    I'm a bit confused at the 2:00 mark, technically the 5A is flowing out of the CT at the 5000/5 CT, correct?

    • @romeroengineering
      @romeroengineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You are correct, it looks like I drew the arrow backwards for the low side CT secondary current. At the 2:00 mark, we're saying current is flowing OUT of the polarity mark on the primary, so 5A would flow INTO the polarity mark of the secondary.

    I have a three phase CT’d service. The meter is showing reverse current. I swapped the polarity and it still shows reverse current. All of my kWh are showing received. What could be my problem?

      Check the each phase CT is the same as the PT feeding is. IE not cross phase.
