  • After being taken aback by the 2007-2008 post election violence, Babu Ayindo led a COPA team in seeking to answer this question: "What are we missing in our understanding of Kenya's trauma and cycles of violence?" In this first part of the conversation on the report, we discuss his insights into the institutional and cultural structures that make political and social violence possible in Kenya.

What a powerful voice of healing and reverence for life. Reminds me of the quote that "a society grows when old men plant trees whose shade they will never sit under".
Thank you both, givers of light.

Eh "Trauma has us stuck in the politics of inclusion". Wow diagnostically on point. That is exactly what trauma does. Keeps us stuck!

The failure to connect the mental health of individuals and the environment. Social determinants of mental health! Juzi a brilliant student asked me ''is the the issue of imposter syndrome among Black identifying students individual or are their social components that perpetuate it?"
