Sports tourers took a hit when the big adventurer bikes appeared. Many of the Adventurer owners don't take their bike off road and are wondering why they spent so much money on related capabilities that they don't use. So the Sports Touring scene is making a strong comeback and some manufacturers (like Triumph) are slow to catch up. The XR sits at the top of the list of highly capable ST bikes alongside the Ducati Multistrada.

I havé this bike......Put sw motec protection ..it s better And better for the look......this bike is fantastic it make me still youg and little bit crazy .....i have 68 years old and not ready for the gs .....hello from France near the alpes road.......

Be weary of using the "Canyon Dancers" on bikes that have aluminum bars and/or risers because if they are over tightened they could create unnoticeable stress cracks that could potentially fail. "Canyon Dancers" are best used on steel bars that have a bit more flex.

I had a tail tidy on the original XR but ended up leaving it on the bike when I traded it in, too much of a hassle to change it out. I had the R&G tail tidy with the smaller brake light, didn't really like that one too much. I'll be looking at looking at the Evotech one next.

The stock vibration doesn't bother me much because I do a lot of dynamic riding and don't do a lot of straight line cruising, but the heavier bar ends help for sure.
Hey cuban, how much higher is the MRA screen than the regular one? I've been reluctant to swap it out as the stock one is the perfect height for me (im tiny :D). Love your vids dude
thanks man. the MRA is not much taller, but the little winglet screen does make it higher depending on the setting. you can have it collapsed all the way and it's almost the same size as the screen, but it works really well on the tall position, so that's where I keep it.

They are asking $16,900 but I am sure they will try and kill me on the trade in(s). I should just sell them private party and walk in with cash... but what a pain. The '18s are identical to the new '19 models, correct? If I get it, these will be the first things I do to it.
Boyce Kinnison the Evotech bar ends work great with the hand guards and they are beautifully made (I have them in stainless steel, but they do black too). No more vibration!

R&G has a cheap and nasty replacement rear light, the Evotech keeps the original. Only one choice to my mind..

My 2016 received vibration update on handlebar mounts and I have no vibration
The stock vibration doesn't bother me much because I do a lot of dynamic riding and don't do a lot of straight line cruising, but the heavier bar ends help for sure.
Have replaced barends for heavier ones from evotech and retained hand guards

I see with the bar ends you’ve suggested that the grip protectors are useless. Is there bar ends you suggest that you can still use the protectors?
You can still use the protectors.
Boyce Kinnison I use HVMP bar ends with the hand guards with no problem
Evotech also has heavier bar ends that work with the hand guards.
