I love idiot wind. Your version is pretty good by the way. Thanks for the tipps, as of now, I hesitate being offensive to people I know in my writing. I'll try to implement that in the future
Ok so i lovr song writing and always try to be happy bc my dad always reads my songs but i honestly hate my dad alot. He was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder. He is sexist and racist and emotionally abusive and on a few occasions physically abusive and I despise him for it but for some reason deep down I still love him. I would love to write a song about that but I’m afraid of what he’ll do. Are there any tips you would have because like many others I have trouble being honest
Thanks so much for sharing your story. It's such a challenge sometimes as an artist to explore these types of topics, and yet so important to express our deepest feelings through our art. I hope that you find some guidance from Bob Dylan, who addresses difficult subjects with incredible mastery. Maybe you can relate to his point of view by listening to some of his records. I like "Blood on the Tracks" a lot.
Shhh Egghdf sounds like you still live with your dad.... u til you move out write your stuff on something like google docs and and keep it password protected so only you cab access it
Maybe make it like your writing about someone else, like mask it, write in metaphors or make someone up. Dylan did this too, so that we don't always know who he's lambasting although he's still being brutally honest.
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Thank you Brother. 🙏
You are amazing. Please keep making these videos
You are genuine. Good job
