I don't have questions but, i do have answers. On the .22 holes. a good 15/64ths work the best. The one great thing about the freeze plugs is you can make as many different sized holes to get that perfect sound you are looking for. I like your video . thanks for taking the time to make it.

@Joshua suppressors are regulated because they were passed with the same bill as full autos. when everyone was tricked into believing that tommy guns were the gangsters gun. You're shooting 22 bullets they don't make that much of a noise in the beginning without the suppressor. If you want to make a suppressor for something do it for like a 30-06 9 mm 45 cal or something with better power behind it instead of a 22 caliber
Lol yeah "not needed" if you're willing to spend some years in a federal prison for having an "illegal" suppressor. I know/knew a retired Navy Seal that had one and spent several years in federal prison for it. After his release, the local cops tormented him non stop. His life was over. Couldn't get a job. The VA evicted him from his house. He ended up putting a chair in the road and sat in it, waiting on the local cops to remove him from his property. As they turned onto his road and made eye contact, he put a 12 gauge shotgun with a pistol grip into his mouth and pulled the trigger.
The liberty Kodiak is not rated for 556, the all silver home made one I don't believe is either( nor would I trust the baffles at those pressures since they are aluminum), but the home made one with black end caps is capable of handling 300win mag pressures given you have it set up as such. At current that suppressor is set up for 22lr and has held up to what little 556 I have shot through it but if I were to shoot more 556 through it I would adjust my baffle setup to compensate for higher pressures so I'm not putting unnecessary stress on anything.
You have to thread your barrel. Most calibers have standardized thread pitches (most based on the AR and Glock handgun standards with US imperial pitch). For example 5.56 and 9mm tend to use 1/2x28mm threads. 7.62x35, 7.62x39, 7.62x51 all tend to use 5/8x24 (except AK barrels which use a metric thread pitch) You can thread a barrel without a lathe using a TAT guide, and a threading die. You may want to buy an outside reamer as well depending on the profile of the muzzle on your barrel. If your barrel has a muzzle device, then it has threads underneath. If the device is not pinned, all you have to do is apply heat with a propane torch and then unscrew it with a wrench.

Everyone seems to be commenting on the steel targets. I have a different take. Just by listening, can't tell that much difference, but I judge the titanium tube as better because it was easier to hear the bullet impacts with it than it was with the aluminum. I'd wager that a decibel meter would judge them the same.
I don't mean to change (mildly) the subject but you seem to know way more then I do on suppressors & probably a lot of other things. OK, I going to use a Ciener 22 convertor (commander length) with an extended barrel on my GI 45. I even worked out the barrel adapter. I read converters don't work as well. In your opinion is it worth it or should I just buy a dedicated 22 pistol. For the record, I will try for a "legal can" if the powers to be, grant it. Many thanks, great informative video.
Whynotbethere definitely go with dedicated 22 pistol. Investment in the gun isn't much and cheap to shoot. Converters/thread adapters work alright but if the threads on said barrel are a little off to begin with using a adapter will extend your suppressor further out in which case will make the end of the suppressor further center off than it would normally have been. Typically should be an issue for a standard length can. Just make sure you go with a quality adapter to make sure it is not off center.

Awsome Job gentleman. I live in your general area so hope to build some myself n form one them n get out to range n test any advise would be appreciated.
Those are really large sized cans for 22LR / rimfire. For rimfire, especially 22LR subsonic rounds, you don't need anything larger than 1" - 1.25" diameter, and 5" - 6" long. Aluminum works great, and titanium is overkill, but will certainly last longer. I did hear some first round pop on both cans when you shot them on the Mark III and Mark IV. Was that just the microphone on the camera, or do you get a lot of FRP with those cans? The Ti can was much quieter on the bolt gun. Both of those cans are really nice looking. A silencer can be made from a oil filter. Criminals use pillws, oil filter, and all sorts of contraption to reduce noise. But law biding citizens can't buy one with out paying 200.00 plus filling out forms of all kinds. Now that's crazy.
I doubt that will ever happen, unfortunately. It actually won't surprise me if when the next round of liberals go through Washington they don't figure out a way to take our guns. I am afraid it WILL eventually happen...
Its all about money my friend
And we all know you can build a shotgun out of a hardware store for $30 and a little time. The bullshit laws aren't to keep anyone safe
Have you seen the new ones coming from China as fuel filters with mono-cores seen them as low as $25 with solid end cap. Would make a nice can.
😂
What’s the freeze plug measurements?!Don’t have problems with the holes, it’s the height of the walls of the freeze plugs!
When making a video on sound suppressors do not have to hit a target, we are only interested in the sound of the gun. Also, I have seen the cameras set up downfield to see the difference in produced sound
Maybe a sound meter to compare? 😅
Good job guy's. Good explanation.
Do you have a video for titanium suppressor with freeze plugs for a 3030 Winchester lever action
Anthony Fusco ,
"Yuns" can hear... Fayettenammalitia..... GOTTA be in the Dunbar area :-)
Zach, keep your finger off the trigger when clearing jams!
Smallest suppressor that would still work for a subsonic 45-70?
I was wondering if that was "Fayettenam" in PA. Don't know which range that is though.
Yes, south connellsville rod and gun club.
@@fayettenammilitia7429 I was only there once, hence the reason it didn't look familiar. I always went to Dunbar prior to joining East Huntington. Nice video. I was surprised to see local people on TH-cam.
Would these suppressors hold up to centerfire
How is the inside pit togother and how do it fix on the end of the gun
Enjoyed the video. Just seen the channel name and was wondering if yall were in tennessee or its another fayette?
Where can I get those compartment separator's from?/
Ebay
So the silencers that I made out of spark plug sockets and sold to the guys of "terrorist descent", was I supposed to register those???
So you get the tax stamp before you make anything and then burn on the s/n? I have a saker 7.62 but would like to make a legal one for shits and giggles but it seems odd to apply for a stamp for something that dosnt exsist yet
Hi Danny, that's correct tax stamp before materials otherwise you could be in violation of the constructive intent law. Just having the pieces to make a suppressor can be deemed ilegal if they think you plan to make one before a tax stamp is granted.
I need a step by step how to make this
Do you have anything for the barrel of my Abrams tank? Lol
In the suppressor with the compartment separators did you have a blast chamber or were they the same from end cap to end cap?
When shooting the bolty use your middle finger to pull the trigger and you don’t have to let go of the bolt.
What is the outer tub made from?? And when to get it??
Were you shooting standard or subsonic ammunition
Good job guys. Thank you
What Would It Coast for one for a 22 250 and a 243 cal Tony Kennedy Columbia Tenn 38401
make one yourself th-cam.com/video/bR1_leiblxk/w-d-xo.html
That’s why I gave up on the rugers.
Had two and neither would run a mag without a failure
Easy fix, try different ammo
Or clean your gun, or have someone who knows what they are doing check it out because, no offense but you clearly don't. Ruger been putting bullets down range for a long time. Bolts, autos and wheels. This is the first time I have ever heard someone say what you did. Plz don't take offense.
when making one with freeze plugs do you shoot the last one instead of drilling it for a swipe?
No, they're all drilled out prior to building. Trying to fire through one plug could cause the bullet to exit 1/2 a hole off center.
What size are the freeze plugs ? Is there anything else in the tube that we don't see ? Baffles ?
watch this to get all your answers on how to build one th-cam.com/video/bR1_leiblxk/w-d-xo.html
Looks like you guys need a G44!
LOL.....Scottsdale? Right down the road from me.
What does the inside of the small suppressor look like?
Hi so the baffles they need to be steel or titanium
can you send me a link where can i get one for my glock 19 thanks
here this video has all the links th-cam.com/video/wEbnT7blq-g/w-d-xo.html

These are for 22
Why are the rounds not breaking the spud barrier!
Do I need to fill out a form 1 before I buy a suppressor, or vise versa?
Texas Holdem That’s soooo stupid -_-
somebody needs to work on trigger discipline. 1st pistol handling a little iffy.
Is aluminium safe to use for a .223 rifle?
No, only titanium or steel
@@txdocprich_8404 why ?
